Coast Guard: Gulf Rig Fire Sends 4 to Hospitals

ABC News – AP

Coast Guard officials say an oil rig has exploded off the coast of Louisiana, sending four people to hospitals. Two are believed to be missing.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Jonathan Lally, a spokesman for the Coast Guard, did not immediately have information on the conditions of those taken to hospitals.

The rig, a production platform owned by Black Elk Energy, is about 25 miles southeast of Grand Isle, La.

Lally says two helicopters, an airplane and small boats were sent to the area on Friday. He did not know if the fire caused by the explosion had been put out yet.

The platform is a production platform, unlike the Deepwater Horizon rig, which was drilling an exploratory well in mile-deep water well to the east of Friday’s reported explosion.

What is this? Isn’t an LLC required to have Board Members and a Committee?

  3. Cathleen says:

James F Hagemeier is involved in many things.

I may be stopping too soon in my research, but I’m not seeing any Bush connection at this point. Since Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations LLC is based out of Huston, TX, maybe someone thinks they are stepping into someone else’s territory. Who knows. Just how my mind is workin’ these days.

If not the bushes then have ya thought of halliburton and dick cheney `s involvement – you know they are all in it together. Funny how this happens when BP just got their day in court yesterday with that – was it a measly $2.5 billion fine?, or something like that. They should have got 100 times that BP should have.

My source down in Galliano La. tells me it was a welder cutting a pressured oil line with a cutting torch during some additions and maint. on the platform.

He is reliable…….dont know how much dis-info his source told him
