The U.S. military mission at the Mexican border will no longer be called “Operation Faithful Patriot,” according to officials.
The formerly named “Operation Faithful Patriot” is a deployment of nearly 5,200 troops, who joined 2,000 troops already stationed at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Jamie Davis said in a statement on Wednesday that while the Defense Department was dropping the name, the operation was still named and still ongoing.
Davis said the operation will now be referred to as “border support.”
No reason was given for the change in name or for the timing.
Gen. Terrence O’Shaughnessy, the commander of the U.S. Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command, announced the decision on Oct. 29 at a news conference, calling the deployment “Operation Faithful Patriot” for the first time.
Its intent was to “harden the points of entry” along the border, O’Shaughnessy said.
The troops at the border are a mix of active duty, reserve and National Guard forces and are supporting thousands of border patrol agents already deployed to the area.
Yeah, I know “patriot” isn’t the best of words, but damn!
So! They musn’t have that, any type of invoking of emotional loyalty to one’s homeland. Suppress all instinctual attachment and become robotic. It’s all dry and passionless, to get us to not stand up for ourselves, to forget our roots, where we come from, our unique culture, our language, traditions, all of it.
Anyhow, they’ll do what they want with the border, do as they please, as they always do. But they’re pushin’ it. Real people can only take so much. They can change names all they want but they’d have to go some distance to kill the soul of the people, especially those “faithful” to The Bill of Rights.

Seems more appropriate that these non-patriots would call the enterprise by a name more akin to their Marxist tendencies….. Perhaps “Operation Pink Commie Panties.”

Why don’t they just call it what it is, “supporting the illegals across the border”. What are they afraid of? It’s not like the American people at the border will do anything. They still think they can VOTE their way out.
