Dolly Parton Caves To Pressure And Drops “Dixie” From The Title Of Her Dinner Theaters

American Outlook

While she has, in the past, successfully stayed out of the political fray, Dolly Parton is now making headlines as she caves to political correctness and changes the name of her dinner theaters which were formerly titled: Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede.

Apparently, “Dixie” is just too inflammatory to vacationers who might attend her venues.

FOX News reports:

Country singer Dolly Parton has discarded “Dixie” from the name of a popular dinner show, “Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede,” due to cultural concerns.

From now on, the attraction will simply be known as Dolly Parton’s Stampede.

Parton said in a statement that the name change was spurred by changing attitudes and “will remove any confusion or concerns about our shows” as the company that operates the attraction expands into new markets.

… “It has added to confusion in discussions about the expansion of our dinner theaters to new locations across the country and around the world,” Owens said in a statement.

“Some of our guest comments and comments of developers, in markets around the country with whom we spoke, show a misconception of what our show is. They do not realize the Stampede is a very patriotic, spectacular, horse show with 32 beautiful horses as the stars.”

However there are some fans that don’t agree with the change:

Dolly, we know you don’t like to get involved in politics. But you just did by caving to the PC elites. Very disappointing.

  1. Laws…

    Rules…

These things don’t concern me anymore.

Because they can be made up arbitrarily as we go through life.

What really concerns me as a media consumer.

    Is.. drum rollll pleaz…

I wonder if them big titties are sagging yet at 95.

      1. You are correct Miss Katie.

        I am guilty of both.

Like a Catholic child in a confessional.

I do have to commend you on your clairvoyance.

Now back to our regular programming.

  2. Bad move, Ms. Parton.

People are tired of this PC BS, and the name change is probably going to cost you some customers rather than appeal to new ones.

  3. ‘Apparently, “Dixie” is just too inflammatory to vacationers who might attend her venues. ‘…….yeah right ……

Gatlinburg/ Severville / Morristown all over in this area

Business people bow too easy these days to unforeseen threats and some shoved right up in your face

They can burn it , trash it , bad mouth it all they F-ken want .. but it ain’t going away

Go ahead , force it underground… it will only get stronger by the actions of the ignorant

None of this bullshits made me change my ways or who I am … gonna have to kill me first
But than again the generations behind me will take notice , they already know what’s coming

Taking things down won’t change a dam thing
It’s deeper than some dam word

I think your makin a mistake Dolly , or who ever is putting you up to it is giving you bad advice

  5. Considering “jerry edelstein” is her longtime friend and personal attorney, I think it’s safe to say he’s the joo who advised her to do this.

    1. Always a helping hand, Angel. Thank you, dear and much love to you. You’ve carried my arse in this way many times! 🙂 Wish you well.
