G7, Tech Giants Agree On Plan To Block Jihadist Content Online

WEB Notes: Their quote, “These are the first steps towards a great alliance in the name of freedom.” Right…

Translation, this is a great first step toward limiting free speech around the world. Even in the state of Texas hurricane victims are loosing their right to their own personal beliefs if they want to receive government aid.

Everyone should be able to recognize this is a big setup. We should all recall the Patriot Act which become law right after the 911 attacks in 2001. It was aimed at the Islamic Extremists, but it affected all Americans. This new “agreement” between the government and tech giants is no different. It may start out as a “good idea,” but it will change over the years to pull away our freedom of speech on the internet.

G7 countries and tech giants including Google, Facebook and Twitter on Friday agreed to work together to block the dissemination of Islamist extremism over the internet.

“These are the first steps towards a great alliance in the name of freedom,” Italian Interior Minister Marco Minniti said after a two-day meeting with his Group of Seven counterparts, stressing the role of the internet in extremist “recruitment, training and radicalisation.”

French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said the goal was to ensure pro-jihadist content “is taken down within two hours of it going online”.

  1. They’ll get this all set up.
Very soon any criticism of Israel will be considered “jihadist” no matter who says it.
Maybe they’ll do that right from the start.
