LOL. Ah, the good ole days.

Happy New Year! Live long and prosper, and may the simplicity and reason of the good ole days return.

  2. don says:

1957 i was stationed at a airbase in mississippi bought a 35cal. rifle for my dad, and brought it to pa. unwraped, no problem

  3. Fred54 says:

“57” ! Heck try 67, when I was in H/S. This is exactly
the way it was. My buddy and I would ride our
bicycles down to the dump with our .22’s slung over
our shoulders to shoot rats, no problem. Get into a
fist fight at school and when it was over we’d shake
hands. If a teacher saw us fighting he’d usually come
out to manage “crowd control” while we “settled
things”. We used to smoke grass with a couple of our
teachers, no problem, nobody got hurt. We all
became pillars of society, doctors, lawyers,
engineers… In college for me in a major city we did
have a no guns in the dorm policy but be cool and
you could keep a rifle or a shotgun in your room. A
friend went to a college out in the country. They had
a skeet range behind the dorm. His schools policy
was unload the gun before bringing it into the dorm.
We didn’t sas the teachers because if we did there
was a good chance he put your lights out. One math
teacher took a wise a$$ out into the hall and he
came back with a black eye. He never did disrupt
that class again. yep we sure have become stupid…

  4. BentSpear says:

Ask my dad about ’57….he didn’t recall ever seeing gunracks unless they were some cobbled-up homemade jobs. Deer hunting was best near the highschool & you packed your gun, ammo & gear on the school bus, put it in your locker until after school. Went hunting, walked home. One bad word from a adult & it got around that you weren’t allowed to even touch a gun. This went on ’till about ’73 & stopped after a bunch of misfits stole a case of powder & blew up a nearby State Park sh!thouse & a township bridge.

  5. Leita says:

Yep, yep, yep to all. The teachers now -a -days diagnose the child with
ADD and tells the parent to send the child to the MD or clinic and once
there the MD assesses the child for 5 minutes and presto – a prescription
for Ritalin. I have witnessed this numerous times.
Also, when I went to school there were no Pedro’s.

    • Francesca Thomas says:

Teachers are NOT doctors they have NO LEGAL right to diagnose let alone tell you what drugs to get.
American Teachers are simply too d*** lazy to discipline the kids. They dont use common sense reasoning. And if the child wont do the work, then they get a low mark and they must learn and accept the consequences of their not doing the work. This Mollycoddling of children in school has got to STOP!!!!

      • # 1 NWO Hatr says:

It’s what’s commonly known as the deliberate dumbing down of America.

The ONLY thing the so-called ‘education’ system is designed to do these days is to indoctrinate the young to be slaves in the NWO.

      • Tanya says:

Teachers don’t diagnose kids. Doctors do.

Seen kids acting out in public? Seen their parents try and control them? Okay, now imagine thirty-five of them in a classroom. If you think teachers are “too lazy” to discipline kids, what must you think of parents who send rude, ill-mannered, undisciplined, ignorant, snide, passive-aggressive, and just aggressive, kids to school?

Have you ever tried to explain the history of the colonization of the United States to thirty-five kids who just didn’t want to know? Five times a day?

I wish people who talk about teachers, or schools, would go an do a substitute teaching gig. Some time spent in the classroom, experiencing the reality of education today, would make folks a lot more respectful of teachers, what they put up with, and how hard most of them work.

        • # 1 NWO Hatr says:

          I reiterate:

The ONLY thing the so-called ‘education’ system is designed to do these days is to indoctrinate the young to be slaves in the NWO.

      • Leita says:

There was one kid in particular I recall whose favorite
movie was “Rebel Without A Cause” and he would
try and dress like James Dean. He was different
and a little shy but a great kid. This was one who
was a candidate for Ritalin. Many years later he
was arrested for killing and mutating cats in the small
community. I can imagine what other mood altering
drugs were added to his medicine chest after Ritalin.
This kid was ten yrs. when first introduced to mind
        altering drugs.

  6. # 1 NWO Hatr says:

    Auld Lang Syne, all.

This one’s my favorite of the day.

Happy New Year to Henry, his wife & family, and to ALL the posters on FTTWR.

p.s. I’m at my brothers house, and for the first time ever, I have reception, for my phone & computer. They had to have installed a tower somewhere in the area recently.

  7. Francesca Thomas says:

Guns are not part of the culture where I am from, but everything else regarding schools and education sure rings true.
Most of those 1957 observations were still valid in the early 1970s when I was in school. They had gone by the 1980s though and the system was moving more towards the stupidity of 2010.

In 1957 – and 1967 and even 1977 – we all used common sense. Now we use political correctness – Common sense has gotten lost. I sure do mourn the loss of common sense.

  8. stk33 says:

I guess, large part of the explanation is that the demographics of “we” has significantly changed. In a way, the major part of _us_ is not _we_ anymore, and for that major part, the outcome in 2010 would be very different from 1957 even if left alone. Such as, for example, in scenario 8, guess who will accuse Mary of being sexual predator – could it be anyone else but Johnny’s mom?

  9. James Woroble Jr says:

Superbly illustrates the effectiveness of the ‘boiling frog’ paradigm, how one can methodically, over an extended period of time, manipulate and brainwash the population into accepting the most absurd and self-destructive principles of civilized living as the ‘norm’ without effective resistance. For had they implemented and imposed these very same ludicrous Orwellian values within a sudden span of one year, it would have met the resistance of hemp rope and torches.

I fear that the effectiveness of this methodology will soon have us all literally eating shit, by branding those who refuse as ‘fecesphobic’.
