Israeli PM Netanyahu ‘ready’ to order strike on Iran

BBC News by Yolande Knell

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has said he is ready to order a strike on Iran if international sanctions do not stop its nuclear programme.

“I am, of course, ready to press the button if necessary,” he said.

Speaking on Israeli television, Mr Netanyahu also indicated Israel was prepared to act unilaterally.

His government has failed to get the US to set a clear “red line” for military action against Iran.

This has put a strain on relations with the administration of President Barack Obama.

Channel Two interviewed the prime minister as part of an investigative report detailing Israel’s efforts to stop Iran from what it says is a drive to develop a nuclear weapon.

Iran insists its nuclear programme is purely for peaceful purposes.

As long as I am prime minister, Iran will not have the atomic bomb”

The Channel Two report said that in 2010, Mr Netanyahu and his defence minister, Ehud Barak, had given orders for the military to get ready to attack Iran within hours if required.

The programme described this as “the closest Israel has come to attacking Iran”.

The orders were later withdrawn in the face of opposition from two top security officials at the time – chief-of-staff Lt Gen Gabi Ashkenazi and the head of the intelligence service, Mossad, Meir Dagan.

According to the programme Gen Ashkenazi considered such an attack on Iran, “a strategic mistake” because of the risk of a war, while Mr Dagan deemed it “illegal”, saying a full cabinet decision was needed. Both men have since retired from their posts.

When Mr Netanyahu was asked about the reported exchanges he did not comment directly.

“In the final reckoning, the responsibility lies with the prime minister and as long as I am prime minister, Iran will not have the atomic bomb,” he said.

“If there’s no other way, Israel is ready to act.”

In the documentary, there was also criticism of the handling of the Iranian nuclear threat from the former Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert. He suggested that the current government had jeopardised its close relationship with Washington.

Mr Olmert is considering making a political comeback ahead of a general election on 22 January.

Like its US ally, Israel has consistently refused to rule out a military option to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb. It believes such a weapon would threaten its existence.

Yada yada yada, blah blah blah!
Does that fat jew ever shut up?

He is just waiting for Bush jr or Moneybags to get into office so he can false flag and start WWIII. He’s going to do it. It’s just a matter of when. Obama and Romney both will sign off on a draft.

Get your hair cut boys you are going to war. I will be amazed if he waits until January to strike.

Grace, it is bleak, i agree.

Romney will however be having some heavy discussions with the JCoS who are very much against a strike on Iran as there is no way to control the course of military events to achieve the endgame sought: a disarmed, compliant, non retaliative Iran without heavy American losses.

The JCoS will tell Romney that America will be internally destroyed by the deprivations visited on the people by a war without end that this will become, as closure on American terms will not be possible.

Romney will also be told that such a fate for America is desired by the instigator of this war, Israel, as they also want Russia drawn in on the side of Iran, so that a thermo nuclear incineration of both America and Russia takes place, leaving Israel as the sole superpower in charge of a radioactive desolation called Planet Earth.

Romney doesn’t yet know that ‘best friend’ Netanyahu is using him for Israel’s goals, which include the destruction of America.

When the JCoS intimate that to him, he will have no choice but to see by this light the huge betrayal that is expected of him by his ‘best friend’.

Obama understood this well, which is why he, finally, didn’t want to meet with Netanyahu in NY late September at the annual UNGA meeting. He’d had enough !

That is why Ambassador Stevens was assassinated at the Benghazi Consulate to teach Obama a lesson, to not snub a Israeli PM.

Doubly snubbed, actually, as Obama then arranged to go to NY to be on a talk show.

That sealed Stevens’ fate – only because he was a easily reachable target.

Will Israel initiate a first strike ? No, as the retaliation by Iran against Israel will be swifter than the American attempts to block it, with resulting heavy casualties and damage on Israel.

What Netanyahu wants is for America to initiate a first strike, with Israel intercepting any Iranian missiles not caught by American anti missile defences.

“It was Egypt’s President Sadat, shortly before he was assassinated in October 1981, who gave me the most revealing insight into what it was really like to negotiate with Israel. He told me that Israel’s negotiating strategy was to wear you out, to exhaust you, to make you so “fed up” that, at a point, yo had to decide either to walk away from negotiations and take the blame for failure, or, if you were not to go mad, to throw up your hands and say, “Okay, you win. I’ll agree to more or less whatever you want.””

Old Bennie Yahoo of Israel is doing just that to the U.S., U.N. and the rest of the world. Him and his Zionist buddies will never give up until YOU give in.

So the simple answer is, DON’T give in.

Same thing they said about Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan. Gee, ever think no one wants you, especially since you rejected every single peace offer given to you because basically you want no peace and only endless war. They just need another excuse for the continuation of their Zionist, militaristic, territorial expansion, with the U.S. as its big dog on a leash. Without the U.S., they’d be nothing and that’s why we need to get rid of them permanently from the U.S. Only then will the Zionists be vulnerable and fed to the Arabian wolves while the Persians are singing, “Oh happy day!”, as well as the rest of us hardworking Americans who know the truth about Zionism and were robbed because of it.

Israel forgets that being the only nuclear power in the region (weapons) is destabilising, not stabilising and that while they hold the trump cards of nukes they can make a fuss, expand their influence and territory and hold the west and the region to ransom. In Iran’s efforts to gain nuclear civilian electricity supplies, Israel sees a potential threat down the track of Iran getting weapons grade nuclear fuel. Being the spoilt child they want to be the only one holding that toy, therefore doing all it can to demonize Iran and have the business taken care of by others. When in fact a nuclear powered Pakistan is a big threat to Israel yet they haven’t launched any at Israel and won’t for the foreseeable future, as well as the fact their mortal enemies India are nuclear and India and Pakistan have never fired a nuclear shot at each other. Israel is seeing threats where they don’t exist and long term would do better to work with regional players not against them. The rest of the worlds support for Israel is waning in the face of continued crying of wolf.
