Gilbert, AZ –-(Ammoland.com)- Knife Rights Bill Introduced in Kansas: Kansas State Representative Richard Carlson has introduced a Knife Rights requested bill, HB2033, that would enact Knife Law Preemption and repeal the Kansas ban on Switchblades, Dirks, Daggers and Stilettos.

Preemption prevents the creation of, or eliminates, a patchwork of ordinances and rules which serve to confuse or entrap those traveling within or through the state. Preemption ensures citizens can expect consistent enforcement of state knife laws everywhere in a state. Knife Rights has passed similar Knife Preemption Laws in Arizona, Utah, New Hampshire and Georgia and repealed irrational knife bans in New Hampshire, Washington and Missouri.

If you live, work or travel in Kansas, please contact your Representative and ask them to support HB2033. Click here to locate your Representative, and/or the Representative who represents where you work or travel.

HB2033 is the second of a number of Knife Rights 2013 legislative initiatives. Watch for more in the coming weeks and months. These difficult times only make these efforts to protect our knives all the more important. Please support Knife Rights as we fight for a Sharper Future for all Americans.

You Can Help Knife Rights Make a Difference
Every success we have in a state legislature helps us with the next bill we try to get passed. Success builds upon success. It’s much easier to gain sponsors and supporters for a bill when we can point to other states where similar bills have passed and there has been no adverse impact. We all know these bills won’t result in “blood running in the streets,” but its easier to persuade legislators when we can show them positive results to counter the scaremongers who oppose common sense legislation.

  1. We bought all of the kids Survival Knives for Christmas (Think Crocodile Dundee, Bowie Knives) and one said, “I am sleeping with this under my pillow” and another said, “I am gonna Keep this in my car in case of trouble? and I said, “Wait a minute, we need to check on the laws, first”. Point being… Law abiding Citizens should be able to carry any kind of knife or weapon for defense. While we are fighting for our rights to bear arms, we need to go all the way and get all of our God given rights back from these fools. Oh, and bye the way… My Mother in-law, said she thought those Survival Knives were the best presents anyone got this Christmas. That surprised me, but it’s true!

Just yesterday my wife handed me the money to go buy two more
Survival Knives for her and I. What a great women I have!

The knives I am talking about are the ones they sell at Harbor Freight for $9. I don’t know how long they will last when put into a survival mode, but I can imagine they will come into good use if the time comes to use them. Considering, that now everyone in the family has one now for under $60.

    1. Thanks, Smilardog. One of those just opened in my neighborhood. In fact, right across the parking lot from the Starbucks that I hang out at to post comments at night and on weekends. I’ll definitely be checking that out tonight.

  2. What a joke. Can they just go ahead and make a law that says that I can’t drink a soft drink when I’m traveling through a certain state?

OOPS!!! I forgot. Bloominidiot is actually making that one already in NY. My bad!
