LAPD, Torrance Police Shot At Innocent People In Frenzied Hunt For Former Cop Christopher Dorner

Huffington Post – by Anna Almendrala

LOS ANGELES — Police officers shot innocent people during the frenzied manhunt for Christopher Dorner, a former cop suspected of murdering 3 people and shooting several more.

Officers from the Los Angeles and Torrance police departments engaged in two separate shootings Thursday morning in Torrance, Calif., reports KTLA. They had come across two different vehicles that were similar to the description of Dorner’s getaway car, a gray 2005 Nissan Titan pickup.

The first shooting incident happened at 5:20 a.m. Officers from the Hollywood division of the LAPD shot two people who turned out to have no connection to Dorner’s crimes. They were transported to the hospital with gunshot injuries.

The second incident occurred 25 minutes later and involved Torrance police. While shots were fired, there were no reported injuries.

In a press conference Thursday morning, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck confirmed that police shot innocent bystanders during the hunt for Dorner. He detailed the two victims’ gunshot wounds:

“One has a minor gunshot wound and is in the process of being released. The second person is in stable condition, with two gunshot wounds,” said Chief Beck. “Tragically, we believe this was a case of mistaken identity by the officers.”

Sources tell the Los Angeles Times that the people shot by police were two women delivering newspapers. One was shot in the hand and the other in the back.

Dorner, a former LAPD officer and Navy reservist, is suspected of fatally shooting Cal State Fullerton basketball coach Monica Quan and her fiance, USC security officer Keith Lawrence. When Quan and Lawrence were found in their car Sunday evening, authorities publicly stated they had no known motive or suspects.

That changed Wednesday, when Dorner published a multi-page manifesto on Facebook implicating himself in the murders of Quan and Lawrence.

“I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty,” wrote Dorner on his Facebook profile. The former cop blamed the LAPD for his termination, listing people he believed were responsible for his dismissal.

One of the people on the list included Quan’s father, retired LAPD captain Randal Quan. Cpt. Quan had represented Dorner during his dismissal hearing before the police Board of Rights, reports Associated Press.

During a press conference that night, Irvine police Chief David L. Maggard announced a manhunt for Dorner, warning the public that he was armed and dangerous.

Thursday morning, Dorner is believed to have resumed his shooting rampage. More, from AP:

Early Thursday, the first shooting occurred in Corona and involved two LAPD officers working a security detail, LAPD Sgt. Alex Baez. One officer was grazed.Later, two officers on routine patrol in neighboring Riverside were ambushed at a stop light, said Riverside Lt. Guy Toussaint. One died and the other was in surgery. The officers shot were not actively looking for Dorner, Toussaint said.

Anyone with more information about Dorner’s whereabouts is encouraged to call police at 213-486-5230. Reach the police during non-business hours at 877-LAPD-24-7.

  1. Trigger happiness at it’s best. The LAPD is going nuts and a lot of people are going to get hurt. They better lock themselves in somewhere and stay off the streets. The public will be safer without them on the streets.

  2. Look at how aggressive the swine become when there is a little poison pill running around LA lookin’ for pigs just like Duke Nuke ’em does! Jesus they must be in rut, poppin’ shots off at the very thought: “IT’S HIM! OMFG! I’M GONNA DIE!!!” BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! “It’s o.k. I got him!”…. “That wasn’t him? they aren’t related to the perp?”…..

(spoken to self) “Well they’ve got to be guilty of something!.. ”

Crazy f#@ks! Now who needs gun control again?

  3. This is why EVERY LAW ABIDING CITIZEN should have semi-auto rifles with 30 round magazines. When ANYONE shoots at you: you have the right to RETURN FIRE. You also have the right to defend others who are under fire by ANY entity. If you have a concealed carry license: you have the right and are MORALLY OBLIGED (thou not “legally”) to defend others. If you are not willing to defend a strangers life: you should not be carrying!
The LAPD (none have) didn’t learn a damn thing after the Rodney King tragedy. I bet all of the innocent shooting victims were either Latino or African-American!
Now that our dictator in Washington claims it is legal to MURDER “suspects” who happen to be American citizens. The civilian Storm Troopers: AKA “law enforcement” are now engaging in the practice of extra-judicial EXECUTIONS, TORTURE, FRAUD, THEFT; RAPE, PEDOPHILIA, ETC.:all of those practices we think only happen in some banana republic in the 3rd world, are “SOP” right here in the good old U. S. of f#@king A.
It is a shame that our country has a governmental SUPPORTED racist thread, ON PURPOSE! They are terrified that a time could come when people of ALL COLORS will unite and reclaim all of the freedoms we so carelessly gave away so we can be “safe”.
Where I live: if you are arrested and charged with a crime and the pigs say they have no evidence and can not continue in court: the DA tells you: if you are willing to pay all court costs; the charges will be dropped. They then tell you: if you do not agree: the judge will find you guilty without trial: fine and jail you anyway! This is a FREE NATION? There is no justice for the working man; only taxes and whatever they can steal from you in their “courts” and open highway. This incident happened to my wife when a convenience store clerk got mad at my wife; called the pigs and said she “smelled alcohol”. My wife took a breathalyzer, sobriety test, and passed both. She spent 2 days in jail, the pigs trashed my car looking for contraband, stole $100.00 from the glove box, confiscated my diabetic medication, which was legally prescribed ($300 worth never returned). The entire incident cost me over $3000.00 all because some 2 bit whore told a lie! “See something-Say something”? I never will. SNITCHES BELONG IN DITCHES!

I hope Chris Dorner gets every one who screwed him over! My prayers are with him.

    1. Well said and seconded! Law enforcement officers have been out of control for years tasering grandmothers, pregnant women taking their children to school, children, even paraplegics in wheelchairs. Now with them gunning down anyone driving a remotely similar vehicle I say to law enforcement; police yourselves or the public at large will do it for you!

  4. Amazing what one, relatively skilled, individual can do with a few weapons, and, a published “manifesto”. What I’ve read thus far indicates many Policemen are not only on edge, but are seriously concerned. Imagine how quickly the LEO will hide when things really heat up.

  5. just so you know how bad this is,

    this article says:
“They had come across two different vehicles that were similar to the description of Dorner’s getaway car, a gray 2005 Nissan Titan pickup.”

well he’s a man – so we have a GRAY pickup with a MAN.
one of the incidents involved a BLUE pickup with 2 WOMEN in it!!!
(and the reporter said the blue pickup was “riddled” with bullets so they probably just emptied all their mag’s into it before aproaching!!!)

    instead of a gun-ban, you need a police-ban!

  6. it just came to me,
maybe this Dorner guy is simply taking it easy somewhere while the LAPD shootup so many people that eventually the public will do his job for him!

  7. I still say this has Psy-op/false flag written all over it or MK-Ultra to further implement gun control. Don’t fall for their trick by supporting this guy. First the Alabama crisis and now quickly followed by this one in L.A. From one crisis/sleeper cell to the next. When they catch this guy, watch for another shooting/crisis to pop up the day after, all up until they sign the UN Small Arms Treaty.

They will not rest until gun control is in full effect and our 2nd amendment is eliminated, even if it means creating all of this havoc in a desperate attempt to try and change people’s minds, which it won’t. They can cry all they want, but they will never be able to take our guns, even if it means another Sandy Hoax.

    1. I just think this whole thing with this dorner is one big scam, one big lie to get people to believe that he was the victim here. I think that this Dorner is right in it with all the rest of his cop comrades and he is only giving just enough to make everyone think that he was a honest cop – I still think and smell BS with this dorner. Just what I think and I smell something awful fishy here with that dorner. It just do not like or trust cops and he was a cop with them LA dope dealing, crooked, dirty cops and I think he was right there with the rest of them. He knew what he was getting involved with when he started up with them LA cops right from the day he signed the contract with the LA PD.

  8. Also, where are the helicopters? For cryin’ out loud, last week in Austin, TX, the police were looking for 4 people and a helicopter was hovering by with its spotlight as 2 or 3 squad cars were pulling people over and you’re telling me, they don’t have choppers in the sky? One man and they can’t find him. Yea, right. This whole thing stinks to high hell. They want another week-long drawn out drama to go on just like the Alabama bunker guy last week. This guy is not that good without help. Someone has to be helping him. It’s like the black-op’s said, “Ok the Alabama incident is over. You’re up next.”.

  9. two versions of the manifesto? see jimstonefreelance.com

    http://jimstonefreelance.com/police.pdf

The version posted on Drudge (and FTT) sure looks like it has some psyop features (praising feinstein, mainstream media outlets, questioning why anyone needs a silencer, voicing disapproval that ordinary people can access small arms, etc.). The version that Jim Stone found on the guy’s facebook page doesn’t have any of that.

Also, the “rogue” cop does not fit the psyop profile (usually white male, prepper, believes in the constitution, etc.) Furthermore, this fellow named names of corrupt LEOs; that wouldn’t happen in a psyop.

  10. Its apparent why they need a billion round of bullets these guys cant shoot for beans.Ill take a 30.06 or 270 auto any day over these weak 223 glad the girls in trk lived it looked like a hudred rounds were poured into this truck, these cowardly ass cops are so scared they have they drizzles.
    Steve

  11. I live right next to Torrance.

I’m glad I don’t drive a truck, of ANY color.

Be just my luck to come across a color blind, trigger-happy cop.

  12. The police are no more than state sponsored terrorists, just like those who crucified Christ. Its time they be stripped of their guns.

  13. Again, see jimstonefreelance.com

    http://jimstonefreelance.com/police.pdf

Stone’s version (which he claims he pulled off FB very early) ends with this paragraph:

“You better have all your officers radio/phone muster (code 1) on or off duty every hour, on the hour. Do not attempt to shadow or conduct any type of ISR on me. I have the inventory listing of all UC vehicles at Piper Tech and the home addresses of any INT analyst at JRIC and detachment locations. My POA is always POI and always true. This will be a war of attrition and a Pyrrhic and Camdean Victory for myself. You may have the resources and manpower but you are reactive and predictable in your op plans and TTP’s. I have the strength and benefits of being unpredictable, unconventional, and unforgiving. Do not waste your time with briefs and tabletops.”

  14. Looks like a good blueprint for post-SHTF asymmetric warfare. Now would be the time to gather intel, know thine enemy.

  15. I didn’t see this as a false flag until I got deep into the “manifesto” and read the following passage:
“Sen. Feinstein, you are doing the right thing in leading the re-institution of a national AWB. Never again should any public official state that their prayers and thoughts are with the family. That has become cliche’ and meaningless. Its time for action. Let this be your legacy that you bestow to America. Do not be swayed by obstacles, antagaonist, and naysayers. Remember the innocent children at Austin, Kent, Stockton, Fullerton, San Diego, Iowa City, Jonesboro, Columbine, Nickel Mines, Blacksburg, Springfield, Red Lake, Chardon, Aurora, and Newtown. Make sure this never happens again!!!”
Unless this was inserted post production by a website. I read the full manifesto here- http://laist.com/2013/02/07/christopher_dorners_manifesto_in_fu.php

    1. Well Sir,
It’s not that I am questioning you. The issue here is convoluted at best. There are at least two versions of Dohrner’s rant, if not more. The Puppet Shows (MSM) have circled the wagons on this story of a rogue ex-cop and US vet.
I am inclined to belive that in the interest of pushing thier agenda down our throats TPTB will stoop lower than worms. And that is exactly what I see. Along with the LAPD scared sh#$less.
Now, I am no expert but my personal gut feeling is that Chris Dohrner as an honest cop that got railroaded and his “LINE IN THE SAND” had been crossed. In that regard he is something of a hero.
I for one cheer him on! The LAPD is defenseless against him. I’ll bet they never counted on a hero that gets support from the community! This could be the shot heard round the world!

**You may want to read this version**

    1. Yes USMC91. Like I said in a eariler posting by me. If that Dorner was realy serious about what he is doing then he would do just what you mention about the addresses , associates, family, routines, etc, etc. that way when they do get Dorner then the public would know everything about the police to continue to carry out Dorners mission. I still don`t like the way that this smells about Dorner being a good cop. I think he is sneaky- just a feeling that I get about what I see about him.

  16. @Rhumstruck thank you for the unedited and unrevised version I couldn’t find on Safari. I agree with you, this could be a defining moment, an innocent man fighting against all odds, and a template for resistance going forward.
