Manhunt highlights enforcement weaknesses against determined resistance

circusExaminer – by David Codrea

The ongoing manhunt for murder suspect and former Los Angeles police officer Christopher Jordan Dorner is revealing systemic weaknesses and flaws reminiscent of the Beltway sniper attacks of over a decade ago. Not only has the presumed armed and dangerous suspect successfully eluded a massive dragnet involving police from all over Southern California, to the ski resort community of Big Bear, and now potentially “across three state and into Mexico,” but a panicked reaction in multiple incidents reveals police in the process of protecting their own posing a real danger to the public.

The shooting of two newspaper delivery women illustrates just how jittery the searchers are, and how desperate, when it’s obvious the “shoot first”-mentality officers did not see a suspect they could identify and yet opened fire anyway. The hail of bullets left the truck riddled with holes and opens the question of who else was endangered by bullets that missed it or went through it. And this wasn’t just a one-time mistake: Trigger-happy Torrance cops reportedly did the same thing to another citizen in different part of town.

Another incident, this time in San Diego, involved another innocent citizen having his life endangered in what was initially described as a barricade situation, but turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.

One man has done this, and people are noticing. Aside from an attitude among panicky enforcers that appears to regard public safety as an expendable inconvenience when they perceive a real or imagined threat to themselves, people are noticing how much illusion and presumptions have to do with state power. For many, it is a “Behold, a god who bleeds” moment.

Those noting it include true enemies, foreign and domestic, who see vulnerabilities and fears to exploit.

It’s also noted by those of us who understand what is fundamentally necessary for the security of a free State, and who view coerced confiscations such as have been proposed in the past andin recent weeks as an ultimatum to surrender our very freedoms or suffer the consequences at the hands of enforcers who are appearing less and less omnipotent. That is unacceptable to people who do not want trouble but have no intention of disarming, and who would view any attempt to force that as an intolerable act to be defied, and ultimately, to be resisted.

The deterrent effect of an armed citizenry as a last resort appeal against tyranny is often derided by those who don’t have a clue about what such individuals could accomplish in defense of their liberties. It’s derided even more strongly, and tellingly, more desperately, by those who do, and who see and are shaken to their cores by the vulnerabilities just one armed former police officer/citizen disarmament zealot has exposed.

    Ooooops!!! Checkmate…

Cops- the ‘rogue militias’ our founding fathers warned us about over 200 years ago.

  3. Smilardog says:

Imagine how they would act with a few million or more good respectable people who have had there names slandered as criminals because of new gun laws. After all your name, your character, your integrity, your honor does mean something to those who have such qaulities.

and as you can see, they had no concern for the peoples safety, only to protect their own. I would have to believe that they would be the kind who would hide behind a women or child used as a shield. Cowards!!!

    Great post!!!

    • diggerdan says:

No doubt Smilardog. HAHAHA what do you think them cops would do if a full blown terrorist attack happened, or maybe a nuclear accident happened. Tell ya`ll what this is a good example of what to expect from the cops if they were needed. them big pussies. They can give the punishment out but this surely does show us all that they cannot take it and it hasn`t even started yet.

People need to realize that you only have the safety you provide for yourself. All you have to do is look at the hurricane Katrina and Sandy aftermath. I live in Virginia and remember the Beltway Sniper. Those two men had free reign over 2 states and the District of Columbia. The police would have never caught these men had they not made contact with the police and demanded money to stop. The police didn’t even know what they were driving. Greed stopped them not the police.

I don’t condone anything Dorner is doing but I do know the only thing that will stop him is himself. What scares the police in California the most is Dorner knows police tactics and procedures.

Dorner burned his car in Big Bear on purpose, he is not there. He wanted to divert resources to search an area he is nowhere near, let the police know he is driving something else and for the symbolism. Look at a photo of the man, if he doesn’t look like a Big Bear, who does? Not to mention police have been called bears since Smokie and the Bandit.

Now this is what our federal government is afraid of; if the police can’t catch him quick, his spree will demonstrate how effective one person can be fighting the machine. One man cannot stop the machine but one man can show how vulnerable the machine is.

Yeah, they’d shoot the entire population to protect their sorry asses.

  6. Koolz says:

I am not seeing anything good about the Police now in the US. There being caught on camera for intense violence towards people, hate towards people, they deal drugs, they deal in prostitution, they don’t care about people. The whole Miami Police force was busted.
I notice there out of shape morons that can only fight with there billy clubs and tasers.
Most of them there IQs are low there covered in armor and there really the enemy of the citizen. When did that start how did we become a police state. DHS is trained by Israel, the NYPD is Israel lap dogs. TSA there all the same
    stupid and untrained.

    • CXJ says:

Koolz, I beg your pardon?! Don’t be a fool the law enforcement guys are smart and well trained, They are not to be under estimated. Sure there are the “Donut Type” cops, but rest assured there are plenty of smart cops that are in good shape.

As for the their present mission, they are not trained to hunt down a well trained fugitive who has a vendetta.

Dorner is not running he is hunting. This scenario is very dangerous for the hunter. This is not like hunting Bambi’s dad! This is more like hunting a wild boar with with a bowie knife… The odds are even is my guess.

Dorner has the advantage of choosing his targets and when he will strike. My guess he is lying low watching the news channels and listening in on police broadcasts. He is sorting out the “Info” separating disinfo from good info. This man is no fool and he will kill again before the day is done. He is probably sipping on his favorite whiskey and relaxing while contemplating his options.

This scenario is more for Seal Team Six, but I believe ST6 has a soured taste in its mouth after the Bin Laden fiasco.

Years ago I participated in the “Cooper hunt.” He was indeed illusive. After several weeks I was convinced that the ‘Cooper Incident’ was a psy-ops. If Cooper had been out there I would have found him or somebody would have.

Years later it became evident that the whole Cooper hijacking incident was intended to create the security inspections Americans suffer at the airports.

Dorner is another B.S. operation to justify military involvement in civilian matters or this Dorner episode could be the real thing then as Rahm Emanuel once said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” A Dorner look alike may eventually pop up or the real Dorner will simply disappear into the obscurity of time.

      Good day

  7. H5mind says:

I suspect the thing that really freaks out LEO with this rogue cop is that it’s an entirely unscripted event, unlike so many of the other “terror attacks” the FBI has sponsored in recent years.

Unfortunately, with 20% of the population on some sort of psychotropic drugs, half of us on food stamps, and 100 million either unemployed or “out of the job market”, we’re up to our necks in angry citizens who have, as Gerald Celente likes to say, lost everything, and are now “losing it.”

The government response in all such cases is to respond like a hornet’s nest which has been bashed with a stick in the most brutal, paranoid, confrontational manner possible. What they fail to understand is who exactly is the stick, and who are the hornets.

  8. US Marine Fighting Tyranny says:

    My Fellow Patriots:

    Don’t buy this.

No amount of training or understanding of police tactics would have gotten him safely out of the search area.

His escape does not indicate brilliance,.. it indicates gov’t operative help,.. meaning that the “shooter” they chased to Big Bear was a CIA Vector, who had an “Evade & Escape” egress asset on standby, who then drove him right out of the area, and thru check points with gov’t credentials. It doesn’t get easier than that!

No other scanerio is possible. The LA Cops, who on a good day kill people with no provocation, certainly know how to pursue, stop and terminate someone that just shoot one of their own,…with ruthless efficiency.

This is a con job, designed around a larger political agenda.

Who the posted pictures of Dorner is, is debatable, who the described person Dorner is, is debatable, and was he ever present at any portion of this event? We cannot even be sure that any of these three considerations are even the same person.

JD – US Marines – This guy should have been dead within an hour of the first cop he shot,.. additional shootings and a run terminus into a secluded area just makes it that much easier to catch anyone.

    • CXJ says:

U.S. Marine: Is it safe to assume that Dorner was in the area of search? I think not. If Dorner was in the area he would have been cornered and/or killed by now.

Dorner is long gone if he ever existed in the first place. My guess is this is a Sandy Hook/Hollywood thing and as you suggest begs the question: Is this a false flag with a bigger political agenda?

Lock and Load folks 2013 is shaping up to be quite a year for political intrigue and treason.

Patriots keep buying ammo and pray real hard that you don’t have to use it, but if you do remember to “aim small to miss small.”

      Good day

    • cybro says:

I saw an interview with a former LAPD detective on RT who claimed he had worked with the CIA, which makes him an expert I guess. That guy was building up Dorner like he was some kind of military super genius. A big red flag went up when I heard him going on and on about how smart he was. I thought they are going to use this guy to kill anyone they want and blame it on him because people will believe it. If Obama’s political enemies start turning up dead and blamed on Dorner’s “rampage” that should tell us something. Yeah I’m not buying this. It looks like they are playing us against each other again.

  9. carl hammel says:

As I posted earlier in the day it’s a good thing that we have a well armed and decent society. As far as I know,no citizen has fired into otherwise uninvolved vehicles and as far as I can tell the citizens of Iowa are either drunk or sleeping.(or both)I would hope that the ten thousand officers previously on the case would go home for the night and protect their own families. This dude is a danger to nobody who is aware of the danger and is adequately protected with a firearm which he is proficient in the use of.The only thing better would be Feinstein or Polosi with a bullhorn in front of your residence proclaiming that your family is safe because their legislation has disarmed you. This is all I have to say on this matter at this particular time.

“: Trigger-happy Torrance cops reportedly did the same thing to another citizen in different part of town.”

I reiterate: I live right next to Torrance. Went to school there, growing up. If there is ONE THING Torrance P.D. is WELL known for, it’s they’re zeal in preventing the crime of DWB (Driving While Black) in their city. This is the LAST city in L.A. County that ANY black person who knows ANYTHING about the L.A. area would attempt to hide out in.

This one REEKS of total B.S.!

  11. the good news is the scriptwriters get PAID…

    and piss sacks are “Jewish”…

seen any mexican standoffs lately ?

  12. I Co Marine says:

All this from the state that gave us Hollywood…hmmm, what an agenda driven production this is.

  13. LoPhatt says:

Roger the B.S.. Think about it. The three they tried to kill so far were two asian women and a white guy! We are to believe that the entire might of the LAPD and several other agencies, can’t stop a guy from going to Mexico? That means they are either totally inept or this is a con. I’ll go for the later.
