Obamacare Empowers Doctors to Label Patients Mentally Unfit To Have a Gun

Occupy Corporatism – by Susanne Posel

The Rasmussen Report finds that 65% of American adults believe that the 2nd Amendment “is to make sure that people are able to protect themselves from tyranny.”

The 2nd Amendment reads: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

While gun-rights advocates sometimes use the excuse of hunting as justification for the 2nd Amendment, as well on the other side of the coin, anti-gun advocates use the assumption to further their point that an AK-47 is not necessary when deer hunting; ignorance toward the actual wording of the 2nd Amendment and the current political use of school tragedies to revoke the rights of Americans to protect themselves from tyrannical government has always been the real issue behind all movement toward firearms restrictions.

Considering President Obama’s executive orders and presidential memorandums on gun control, lawmakers on Capitol Hill are divided between those who want to take the legislative route and those who feel guerrilla tactics will get the mandates through and into law.

Senator Frank Lautenberg believes : “We can’t sit around for months talking and letting the gun lobby run out the clock. If we’re going to make progress, it’s essential that we move quickly and start voting as soon as possible.”

The Obama For America campaign will be converted to a propaganda machine dedicated to apply pressure on the public for support on this federal gun grab. Jim Messina, former campaign manager for Obama’s re-election, will head the operation. By taking donations and raising money for the cause, this fake grassroots effort is expected to be effective in convincing Americans to willingly give up their guns.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, says that the most recent shootings like Columbine, Virginia Tech and Sandy Hook are affecting the public decision making on gun control laws. Nutter said:“A tragedy in Newtown that even after all the others we still cannot imagine … a terrible unforgivable moment in American history. We cannot get those lives back … we can and we must act to help protect the lives of those in the future. This has nothing to do with taking guns away from those who lawfully own them.

We respect the Second Amendment … but the right to own a firearm should not interfere with my right to live.”

Stephanie Cutter, former deputy campaign manager for Obama For America, explained that Obama’s “network across this country, grassroots individuals, who organize, volunteered with their time to get the president reelected are much more powerful than the NRA lobby.”

Cutter stated vehemently that “[the] network [will be] activated, very soon. And for good reason. We need to pass commonsense legislation to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and those who shouldn’t be carrying guns. That’s the commonsense nature of this.”

Senator Rand Paul sees Obama as having a “king complex” as the specter of FDR is invoked by the President for justification for recent executive actions. Paul said: “I’m very concerned about this president. FDR had a little bit of this ‘king complex’ also. We had to limit FDR finally because he served so many terms that I think he would have ruled in perpetuity, and I’m very concerned about this president garnering so much power and arrogance that he thinks he can do whatever he wants.”

The National Rifle Association (NRA) and Keene, a gun-rights advocacy lobby, explained that the NRA will hold accountable those members of Congress who “sell them out to some pie-in-the-sky scheme such as the president is proposing.”

HR 226, the “Support Assault Firearms Elimination and Reduction for our Streets Act” was introduced last week by House Representative Rosa DeLauro.

This bill explains a scheme to entice Americans to surrender their gun for a tax credit of $2,000 over 2 years in Section 25(e)(a) entitled “Allowance of Credit” which states: “In the case of an individual who surrenders a specified assault weapon to the United States or a State or local government (or political subdivision thereof) as part of a Federal, State, or local public safety program to reduce the number of privately owned weapons, on the election of the taxpayer there shall be allowed as a credit against the tax imposed by this chapter an amount equal to $2,000.”

Obamacare is one way to utilize the healthcare industry to further the gun grab proposed through executive orders last week. Obama said that this law will “broaden access to mental health care — and tried to stamp out what he called the misperception that a narrow provision of the 2010 health law had made it illegal for doctors to talk to their patients about gun safety. Doctors can safely have the conversation.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will be empowered to conduct the research necessary to correlate gun violence with aspects of American culture that the President needs to justify these executive actions. The American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Public Health Association (APHA) are onboard with this attack on the 2nd Amendment.

Obama is allocating $150 million in taxpayer money to “hire thousands of new mental health professionals and social workers, provide teachers and school officials with training to identify symptoms of mental illness and shore up services for at-risk youths.”

Medicaid and private sector health insurance agencies are expected to offer more comprehensive coverage for those who seek psychiatric attention. Obama prefaced his support of the psychiatric communities role in his gun grab by saying: “We will make sure mental health professionals know their options for reporting threats of violence — even as we acknowledge that someone with a mental illness is far more likely to be a victim of violent crime than the perpetrator.”

By labeling Americans as “under-treated” for any supposed mental condition, this would restrict access to gun purchases in the future as outlined in federal laws already in place.

Obama outlined that he expects medical doctors and psychiatrists to ask patients if they are registered gun owners or have a gun.

Jeremy Lazarus, president of the AMA stated: “The AMA supports physician discussions with patients about firearm safety and risks to help them safeguard their families from accidents. … Studies show that patients who received physician counseling on firearm safety were more likely to adopt one or more safe gun-storage practices.”

  1. Now let’s get really controversial. Which is more dangerous — your doctor or your gun?
Let’s start off with two statistics from the US Department of Health and Human Services.
Statistic Number One: There are about 700 thousand doctors in the United States.
Statistic Number Two: 120 thousand accidental deaths are caused by physicians per year.
When we apply a little math, we come up with an average of 0.171 accidental deaths per physician.

Now, let’s consider two other facts, this time from the FBI:

Statistic Number Three: There are 80 million gun owners in the United States.
Statistic Number Four: The number of accidental gun deaths per year — all ages included — is 1,500.
When we whip out our calculator we find an average of 0.0000188 accidental deaths per gun owner.
Conclusion: Statistics show doctors are about nine thousand times more dangerous than gun owners. Or to put it another way — guns don’t kill people, doctors do.

Well, not everyone has a gun, but nearly everybody has at least one doctor. Here’s the hard pill to swallow — you are over nine thousand times more likely to be killed by a doctor than by a gun owner. Pass it on.

  2. There you go, #1 NWO Hatr……I wouldn’t go near any of those crazy doctors anyway.
The problem is that sometimes you need ’em for setting broken bones and stuff, so they’re hard to avoid in emergencies.

As much as I despise dishonesty, in this situation I would advise everyone to simply deny owning a gun if asked by anyone, because we’re at war now, and that info should only be released on a need-to-know basis. Of course total denial of gun ownership will probably be suspicious in many cases, so you might want to admit to owning one gun, but keep others hidden, and unspoken of.

    1. It’s not just the doctors. It’s likely that someone in your local “fusion center” has recruited a neighbor or two to spy on the community.

With more and more people hitting hard times, they’re getting easier to buy off, and some might inform on you out of some misguided notion that they’re actually helping their country.

Loose lips sink ships, and in this case might get you a trip to your local mental health center for some drug-induced permanent stupidity.

    2. Kaiser Permanente calls me three or four times a month to try and get me to come in for one test or another. As soon as I acsertain it is them, I hang up.

      Nice try, but no cigar.

  3. ” We need to pass commonsense legislation to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and those who shouldn’t be carrying guns”

In the end the people who are limited by the second amendment for their power aspirations, are going to decide who can and who can’t bear the responsibility to have a gun.
