Police responding to explosion at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan

Emergency personnel are responding to an incident at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.

Police sources describe the situation as involving a possible pipe bomb detonated in a passageway below ground at Port Authority.  

One person in custody. Some injuries have been reported, but they are being described as ‘few’ in number.

Streets are being closed in the vicinity of the Port Authority. Subway lines are disrupted during the investigation.

  1. I noticed this morning watching some live footage that the FDNY is now wearing tactical gear(helmet and MOLLE plate vest/carrier).
    NYC does have a counter terrorism task force could be part of that bunch?
    I only saw one individual and can equate this person to possibly being a fire marshal but did not see any sidearm.

  2. So an electrician makes a 5″ pipe bomb so it can be used as a suicide vest?

    He “partially detonated” it?

    He’s lousy at physics. Or a mentally handicapped person as usual.
