SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police now say there are four victims in a shooting Thursday afternoon on the campus of Seattle Pacific University. They say one suspect is in custody.

Police say one man and one woman have life-threatening injuries while another man and another woman are reported in stable condition.

It wasn’t clear whether the suspected gunman was injured.

The university posted online that “the campus is in lockdown due to a shooting near Otto Miller Hall.”

Police say SWAT officers continue to clear buildings on campus.

About 4,270 students attend the private Christian university, located in a residential neighborhood about 10 minutes from downtown Seattle.

Three people were shot Thursday afternoon on the campus of Seattle Pacific University and a suspect was in custody, police said.

Officer Drew Fowler confirmed three victims were transported for medical care after the shooting late Thursday afternoon.

The Seattle Fire Department said on its verified Twitter account that medics took four gunshot victims to Harborview Medical Center; a man and a woman had life threatening injuries, and two males were in stable condition. It wasn’t clear whether the fourth person was the suspected gunman.

Police had initially said they were searching for a second suspect armed with a handgun, but a short while later they said they were no longer looking for anyone else.

About 4,270 students attend the private Christian university, which was founded in 1891 by the Free Methodist Church of North America. Its 40-acre campus is in a residential neighborhood about 10 minutes from downtown Seattle.

The university posted online that “the campus is in lockdown due to a shooting near Otto Miller Hall.” A woman who answered the phone at the school’s security office quickly disconnected, saying no one could talk.

The incident follows a spate of recent shootings on or near college campuses.

Last month, according to police, Elliot Rodger killed six people and injured seven before turning his gun on himself in a rampage in Isla Vista, California, near two universities.

Seven people were killed and three injured when a 43-year-old former student opened fire at a tiny Christian school, Oikos University, in Oakland, California, in 2012. A gunman killed five people and injured 18 when he opened fire in a Northern Illinois University lecture hall in 2008.

In 2007, 32 people were fatally shot in a dorm and classroom at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia before the gunman, Seung-Hui Cho, killed himself.

  1. I was just thinking the same thing, Funny Farmer. Trauma-induced brainwashing of kids. You don’t have to do it everywhere — just enough places, frequently enough, for students to make an association in their mind that their campus and they are not “safe.” Very much like what happened to some of us with the duck and cover drills.

Between a rock and a hard place, if you have a kid who wants a certain type of career that requires a college-bestowed credential or two. It’s not like it was when I was that age. You can’t “homeschool” a college degree (though I suppose online could do the job). The young people doing the hiring these days do not value “equivalent experience” or on the job training, as used to be the case. So you almost kind of need that degree. The indoctrination has been going on far too long. Generations are aging out and the system has already been changed. The “college experience” on campus is harmful to many, and not because of a few “crazed gunmen.”

  2. “The elite are really stepping up on their false flag gun events this week.” -> That’s why I come to your site, you know what’s going on. Keep up the good work.

  3. Welcome Big Dan. I see the circus is finally making it’s way up in my neck of the woods. I was wondering what was taking them so long. There’s a lot of guns up here! lol.. They can’t have mine though, I’m sure I’ll be needing em. When shortage of ammo began a couple years ago, you never seen Cabella’s so stuffed full people buying guns and bullets! lol…

    1. Come to Dallas. When the BLM was on the verge of attacking the Bundy Ranch, Cabellas was mobbed with people buying guns and ammo. Many of them were even talking about it to the employees and asking them what they thought about it. People know. The MSM and our treasonous government can’t hide the truth anymore.
