  1. I had the worst mother and father and brothers and sister in the world. PLUS all my relatives treated me like dog shit. If I found a gun, I would have ended it when I was 10.

    1. Your post tugs at my heart. Could not have been easy for you, especially as a child. I hope any people who are currently around you are good examples of caring human beings. They are out there, giving to life, even in the midst of all the jerks. Glad you didn’t “end it,” Darkwing. And hey, I like your name.

  2. Yes, women can be doctors, lawyers, engineers, and presidents, but being Mom is what they do best.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all you fine ladies who are responsible for all of us being here.

    Thanks, Mom.

    1. Geez, Bob in Wis, make me cry, why don’t ya. Wow, beautiful, old-fashioned love, the most natural and lovely thing in the world. May it have a resurgence in popularity. Lord knows we need it.

      1. You can bet I didn’t have a dry eye either,Galen.
I miss my Mother. She passed on Mother’s day 2005.
Today, the 13th of May, is also her birthday.

        1. Happy Birthday to your mom! And wow, she took her leap on Mother’s Day. What a gift to help you remember her always

  3. Miss you mom. You didn’t need no women’s lib or feminism. You just “did it”. The jew tried to put you down, keep you from starting a business. But you just “did it”. Just a farmer’s daughter from the corn fields of Saskatchewan with a dream…

    1. Yeah, my mom, too. As I look back I see how selfless she was; her giving was almost invisible, just a continuous devotion to family, to making sure all our needs were met. Just wish I could give back more. I’m glad some had a taste of the real thing.

  4. My mom was the best.

I could have turned out much worse if not for her.

    Happy Mother’s Day to all!

  5. I guess I now want to say Happy Mother’s Day to Laura. You know, she who quietly and diligently works behind the scenes, does so very much to keep Trenches up and running. So…

    HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, LAURA!!

You are respected and appreciated and we certainly couldn’t do it without you.

    🙂
