‘Survival of our democracy’ depends on banning sites like InfoWars, Dem senator says

Washington Examiner – by Caitlin Yilek

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., is calling on other tech companies to ban more sites like InfoWars, and says the survival of American democracy depends on it.

“Infowars is the tip of a giant iceberg of hate and lies that uses sites like Facebook and YouTube to tear our nation apart. These companies must do more than take down one website. The survival of our democracy depends on it,” Murphy tweeted Monday.

In an earlier tweet, Murphy reasoned that private companies “shouldn’t knowingly spread lies and hate.”

Apple, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and Spotify removed Alex Jones and his InfoWars show from their platforms in recent days, citing violations of their codes of conduct relating to hate speech.

Apple deleted all episodes for five of InfoWars’ six podcasts, including the popular “Alex Jones Show” podcast, which was hosted by Jones, a prominent conspiracy theorist.

Facebook made a similar move by taking down four InfoWars pages after originally removing only certain videos it said violated its hate speech and bullying policies. Jones was previously suspended from the social media platform for 30 days.

YouTube also removed Jones’ channel from the platform.

“They’re invading the First Amendment,” Jones responded.

  1. I couldn’t agree with you more senator. AJ needs to go away as he is aiding in the destruction of our Republc. He won’t call out your joo masters!

    1. While vile and controlled
And whilst id like to see him bludgeoned
The fact remains he has every right to spout retardedness

      Small edge of a.thick wedge
      Trenches next???

      I disagree with your comment.

Detach the funding. Not the free exchange of ideas.

  2. You got a mouse.in your pocket?
    Our democracy?
    What democracy?
In a democracy everyone would get a say.
My say is get bent. To you and aj.
    Ill vote with lead.
    Ready?
    Set.
    Go!

    1. DEAR ED……..
FREE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS? DOES THAT INCLUDE TEACHING MY GRANDDAUGHTER IN PUBLIC SCHOOL THAT ITS OK TO HAVE “TWO DADDIES”?
IS IT OK WHEN A MANS “RELIGION” OR “FREEDOM OF SPEECH” PROMOTES TREASON?
DO YOU THINK THE KHAZARS WILL SIMPLY STOP MILKING OUR FELLOW NATIONALS BECAUSE SOMEONE SAID, “STOP”?
FREEDOM TO SHIT ON ME AND MY FAMILY ONLY GOES JUST SO DAMN FAR….. YA GOT THAT SQUIRRELY??????????????

    2. “In a democracy everyone would get a say.”
Democracy is just another word for communism, just like progressive. What you are living in is a democracy, it is what democracies have always been.
Having a say and becoming a collective authority over the individual are from two different worlds. Democracy by definition is collectivism, which is repugnant to the idea of an emphasis on the rights of the individual. Like when people try to come up and talk about the blissful lie of communism and say it didn’t work because it was corrupted. No, communism worked and works and will continue to work exactly as it was intended to.
I would hope we are smart enough at this point to know that no matter what the label, governments are inherently evil. That is why we chose to govern ourselves through the common law Bill of Rights which assured equality in the process to say what we want. The Bill of Right belongs to our people. It protects us from anyone who tries to turn their say into a violation of the next fella’s right to be left alone. 🙂

      1. I agree Henry. I am not promoting democracy. Just pointing out that what they are calling democracy is not what they think it is.
We are not a democracy. Nor should we be.
        As for koyote…
Why is your granddaughter in a public indoctrination center?
And how was i saying it is ok to shit on you and others?

Jones is a scumbag. And yes he has a right to be. If that hurts you, redress your grievance.

I opt for self governance. The bill of rights must be for everyone. Even the ones we despise.

  3. A zio-joo puppet disingenuously attacks a zionist puppet, but it is actually an attack on US.

The problem-reaction-solution they have set up is occurring before our very eyes.

It also helps jones-stein appear genuine.

    1. Yep

  4. Really? Out with the old script, in with the new! Has it ever occurred to these morons that redundancy is a symptom, not a blueprint?

  5. “So should suddenly and without warning you wake up one morning and find out that websites such as the Drudge Report, Breitbart, Steve Quayle, Natural News, SHTFPlan, Zero Hedge, ANP and others have been taken off line, you’ll know it’s already far too late for freedom and truth to ever be revealed and you’ll have absolute proof that America has completely fallen to tyranny. ” http://allnewspipeline.com/With_The_Purge_Having_Begun_Is_Civil_War_Next.php

Another “conservative” site calling for civil war. It’s in the air apparently. Which side are you going to choose? The commies or the Trump coalition of which neither will have our Bill of Rights. Don’t fall for this civil war talk, call it out every time. Would you rather have the commies on top in the end or Trumps coalition traitors on top? For me, I’ll have neither or any other collective denier of our common law Bill of Rights. Who ever joins either of the war parties are traitors!

    2. …”websites such as the Drudge Report, Breitbart, Steve Quayle, Natural News, SHTFPlan, Zero Hedge, ANP and others have been taken off line.” You mean that joo owned “conservative” Trump cheerleading Breitbart, that Steve Quayle freak site, Nat. News the guy hyping civil war not to long ago, etc… These sites are mentioned to give the illusion that they are sources that will provide you with the problem and it’s solutions. If they are not heralding your Bill of Rights due process, common law courts, grand juries, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th Articles of the peoples Bill of Rights as having an injunction placed there upon as a result of the war powers act, the national defence authorization act sections 1021 & 1022, & the trading with the enemies act they are part of the problem. I know several of these sites also encourage voting in these fraudulent selections which is to align and consent oneself as well as those that will not commit treason against their fellow Americans who also posses their Bill of Rights.

  6. To guard the gate is one thing; to pretend that what’s behind the gate is coming after you is a whole other strategy. I hate censorship yet have little sympathy for those who have censored the truth. Maybe those gatekeeper sites are getting their comeuppance. Censor us not!! And yeah, Katie… Bill of Rights, only way out.

And thank you, Henry. You gave me my quote of the day:

“Having a say and becoming a collective authority over the individual are from two different worlds.”

    🙂

  7. Concerning AJ, as I like to say….sometimes even bad guys put out good information and vise-versa. I think it is the sum total of ALL information from everywhere concerning all things that will get you closer to reality and the truth than just skimming the top levels of informational input as that is surely what AJ is because of what he WON’T talk about or denies.

Nothing new going on just a different day……and different (and better) tools with which to do it all with.
Humans never seem to ever figure out and retain the games that the ranchers of humanity have used for so long on them.
Even though the information is available with the advent of the Internet so very few will ever really seek it out or want to know it seems.

Have got so tired of the “deer in the headlights” look about matters of importance in these times, that I don’t even bring it up anymore except for when I want to amuse myself.

We know why our local paper discontinued the comment sections for every article…..its run by commies.
They put out nothing but “sesame street” level information.

Maybe one day the few left in our military that still have a functioning mind will come to our aid with their minds in the right place and we will start over again. They could start by going after any body that proposes any kind of law, rule or fine (like the scumbag politician above)that goes against the Bill of Rights.

If and when FTT goes down then what?

    1. “Then what?” Ever read Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451?” If anyone reading this has not yet read it but plans to, don’t read any further here. Spoilers ahead. Anyhow, in the book, it’s a great time of tyranny, and book-burning is ordered. Bon fires everywhere. But a group of renegades comes up with a way to preserve the books: memorize ’em. Each in the group chose one great work of philosophy or literature and memorized it and that person became known as that book and was able to impart it to anyone who wanted to hear it. Living, walking books, everywhere. It was how they confronted the oppression, and it caught on, and “The Book People” grew in number.

Back to your question: What came to me was, each can begin now to memorize The Bill of Rights, and some material on The Common Law, each managing according to his or her own capacity. Even just a section would be an offering. And we become walking, living vehicles of freedom and impart what we can to others. Just one idea for managing these trying times.
