Trump To Recognize Jerusalem As Israeli Capital And Lay Groundwork For Embassy Move

World Events and the Bible

WEB Notes: The article goes on to say a 1995 US law recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and does indicate the US Embassy should move there. Within that law, there is a provision that allows the US to postpone implementing this law and we have seen that done every six months since 1995, until now…

So why do this now, why move the US Embassy to Jerusalem? It is literally a power play by the Trump administration. We know the Trump administration is going to push for peace in the Middle East, something that has been tried over and over again and we know there will be no peace for Israel (1 Thessalonians 5:3Ezekiel 13:16).

One of the biggest problems with peace in the middle east is what to do with Jerusalem? Many faiths are tied to that location, or at least they think they are.

By reversing US policy and publicly calling Jerusalem Israel’s capital along with moving the US Embassy there it defines for the world Israel’s status and further defines borders though the UN founding of Israel gave no acknowledgement to it, but rather condemned it.

By doing this, the Palestinians will have no leg to stand on in the sense that they wish to claim all of Jerusalem as their capital. The issue will be settled going into peace negotiations should there be any to begin with. Of course this could backfire on the US and completely enrage the entire middle east.

Further, the US Embassy will not move right away…

The president will also sign a six-month waiver of a 1995 law mandating an embassy move, thereby keeping the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv for the time being as he initiates the process of relocating the embassy – a process that is expected to take years and will include a survey of construction sites and a search for contractors. Until the new embassy in Jerusalem opens, current law requires the president to sign the waiver that maintains the embassy in Tel Aviv. – ABC

The waiver of the 1995 law will continue to be signed, so this announcement is in word only at this point as it will take years to identify and build a new Embassy.

Whether or not Trump holds true to this promise is anyone’s guess, but the effect of it will not be sudden, but slow over time. The initial shock of the concept will be great for the world, but in due time it could settle, until construction begins that is.

The senior official explained the president’s thinking in reaching his decision to move the embassy as being based in part on a belief that the move could actually be beneficial to achieving a broader peace deal.

“He has said that he thinks in a sense not making this acknowledgment of reality, one of the central issues, is sort of taking it out, so we can work on the core issues, the deal will help advance the peace, I think that’s fundamentally where his opinion has been on this subject all along,” the official said.

The official said the president is optimistic about the prospects for a grand peace deal and said that the president’s “peace team,” led by the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, has already made progress, even as the official acknowledged there are few deliverables the administration can currently identify. – ABC

There you have it, by moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem and publicly acknowledging Jerusalem as Israel’s capital it removes that aspect from any peace deal, essentially removing a hurdle.

From other media reports it sounds as if the middle east could be set ablaze by this news, we will find out later today and in the coming days. Since nothing changes this moment, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I do feel this decision is a part of Trump’s stradegy for peace, flawed or not, this is a part of it. The man has an ego bigger than this world and would love to be the one who brought peace to the middle east, yet, we know from scripture that will never happen.

Another element not widely being reported,

A U.S. official and a source close to the White House told ABC News that official recognition of Jerusalem as the capital is expected to be intentionally broad and not meant to preclude the possibility that the Palestinians could claim part of the historic city as a capital of a future Palestinian state. The president does not want to “prejudice” the outcome of any future peace negotiations for a two-state solution, one source familiar with the plan told ABC News. – ABC

In other words, Trump has left open Jerusalem so that it can be divided among Israel and any future Palestinian state. Trump has been very good at not only dividing this nation, but the world and I fully expect that to continue.

Zechariah 12:3
3 “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

The day is coming and it will not be pleasant for those involved with it.

President Donald Trump will recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and initiate a multi-year process of relocating the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to the contested city, administration officials confirmed Tuesday.

Trump will make the recognition in a speech Wednesday and direct the State Department to begin preparations for an embassy move, fulfilling a polarizing campaign promise. Administration officials did not offer a concrete timeline for the relocation, conceding that identifying a site, designing and building a facility, and securing the diplomatic compound would take a minimum of three to four years and likely much longer.

  1. That’s okay. Military recruitment will skyrocket when the army is the only place to get a meal, and all of our lucky soldiers will get to fight for Israel’s expansion.

If you pick up a gun and start shooting people, you should at least have a good idea of why you’re doing it, so I have no sympathy for anyone who joins this cause.

  2. As long as there is an isreal and it is recognized as a state or in any manner, the people and nations of this world will be held as slaves and war will be profitable.

  3. Ok, can we just all admit that the Zionists have officially taken over our government so we can just attack them and get it over with?

This is a disgrace! Israel is not even a country, yet the bastards changed it on the online maps. In addition to that, Jerusalem doesn’t even belong to them. WTF!!!??

Who owns everyone? THE ZIONIST JEWS!!! THEY ARE THE ENEMY!!!!

  4. And the move will officially take place May 4, 2018–the 70th Anniversary of Israel. Then all hell breaks loose… but not the rapture. Sorry!
