“I heard more than five shots,” Saylo Alston, a resident at nearby Pink Houses, told the New York Post. “I was on my way to the store. Everyone laid down on the ground, and when the shooting stopped, everyone got up and ran. Everyone scattered.”
A man who was at the party said he went outside after the shots rocked the neighborhood.
“I actually helped a girl who was shot in the leg get to the hospital,” the unidentified man told the New York Daily News.
No suspects have yet been captured, Reuters reported.
