US Provisional Government – by Emanuel Pastreich

The creation of new structures for domestic rule that are militarized, invisible to the public and offer no possibility of appeal to the judicial is the defining characteristic of the Biden administration. The Atlantic Council’s report “Domestic violent extremism and the intelligence challenge” (May, 2021) is the locus classicus for many new arguments made by the administration at congressional hearings and think tank seminars as camouflage for a radical transformation of law enforcement into a division of the intelligence structure. For that reason, the report deserves special attention. Continue reading “How the Atlantic Council’s “domestic extremism” argument lays the foundations for shadow governance”

A US appeals court has ruled against a longstanding federal restriction that prohibits sales of handguns to adults younger than 21, finding that the age-based ban is unconstitutional.

We refuse to relegate either the Second Amendment or 18- to 20-year-olds to a second-class status,” Judge Julius Richardson wrote in Tuesday’s ruling by the Fourth US Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia. Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) warned Friday that President Biden’s door-to-door COVID vaccine checks could turn into door to gun or Bible grabs.

Cawthorn pointed back to 2020 and all the COVID shutdowns and told Right Side Broadcasting Network, “Authoritarianism is on the rise…there are tyrants who want to take away our rights, to not be able to congregate in churches, not be able to own firearms.” Continue reading “Rep. When President Biden’s latest extreme COVID move – a door-to-door visit to Americans to promote the vaccines – was announced, one of the reactions was from South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, who said those decisions are “personal” for his residents to make.

“Enticing, coercing, intimidating, mandating, or pressuring anyone to take the vaccine is a bad policy which will deteriorate the public’s trust and confidence in the state’s vaccination efforts,” he said. Continue reading “Oregon may use National Guard for door-to-door COVID questions”

Comedian Rob Schneider has stirred up controversy on social media after seemingly endorsing the idea that Americans should use their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves against the country’s Covid-19 vaccination drive.
