WEB Notes: Our Chinese brothers and sisters could really use your prayers. It seems the persecution there becomes stronger by the day. Their only approved houses of faith are those that conform to the government’s idea of Christianity…
Now don’t go all happy Christian on me and enter la-la land because the “government approves” of Christianity.
The government decides what gets taught, they decide what is approved. That means taking a big black marker and scratching out what they do not agree with in the Bible essentially.
That is a big no no, (Revelation 22:19).
True Christianity means we are able to practice and teach every detail of the Bible and our brothers and sisters in China do not have that luxury.
After your prayer for the Chinese, follow it up thanking our Father for our rights in this nation.
Without them, we would be in the same boat.
Chinese authorities are telling Christians to abandon their “superstition” and forcing them to venerate President Xi Jinping, it has emerged.
Describing the “most severe systematic suppression of Christianity” in years, the Associated Press (AP) said a form of “thought reform” is now being promoted in China.
However, believers say they will not give up, stating, “we are willing to attach any price to the Christian faith”.
