Santa Robs Bank During S.F. SantaCon

Breitbart – by Daniel Nussbaum

A man in San Francisco pulled off an expertly camouflaged heist when he robbed a bank wearing a Santa costume during the annual SantaCon celebration on the weekend, when thousands of people were similarly dressed up and in the streets.

According to San Francisco Weekly, the unidentified Santa walked into a bank on the 400 block of Sutter Avenue at around 1 pm on Saturday, handed the teller a note, and simply walked out with an undisclosed sum of money.

Once outside, the unidentified Santa was ostensibly swallowed up by the thousands of other similarly dressed people participating in SantaCon, the annual Saint Nick-themed pub crawl. This year’s SantaCon marks the 20th anniversary of the event, which began in San Francisco but has since spread to cities around the world.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the suspect is described as a 5-foot-11 white man in his 40s. Authorities have not yet made any arrests in the case.

This is far from the first time a naughty Santa has robbed a bank; last month, a man in a Santa hat and a fake beard robbed a bank in Solana Beach, while last Christmas, a boisterous Santa robbed a bank in Port Orange, Florida, even leaving a wrapped gift for the teller that necessitated calling in a bomb squad.

No elves have yet been identified as accomplices, though members of the public are encouraged to look out for a red-nosed reindeer driving a large sleigh.

  1. Why should the cops bother…. the Gov prints worthless FRNs and then spends them to benefit themselves… So why all the hype…on a Santa robber stealing FRNs…
