    1. 28 and almost blizzard conditions.

No 50 mph gusts yet but they’re on the way (40ish gusts now).

smoke stack effed up so in the middle of repairs.

Sure glad for the 20lb propane tanks filled up during warn season.

      Stay warm, sis.

    2. 6 – 13 degrees here, but no wind.

Winter’s a good thing, Mary. It’s a bit uncomfortable, but think of all the bugs that are dying. In Florida and Nevada they have no winter, but they have 3″ long cockroaches that’ll run right up your leg.

The bugs down south get HUGE because they live for years. Up north their life cycle has to be completed within a few months, so they never get big. Didn’t you have those big Palmetto bugs in Texas?

Winter can be difficult, but I missed it when I lived in Nevada. Endless summer just seems unnatural to me.

  1. The powers of the sword are in the hands of the yeomanry of America from sixteen to sixty. The militia of these free commonwealths, entitled and accustomed to their arms, when compared with any possible army, must be tremendous and irresistible. Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress has no power to disarm the militia.

    “It’s a war!!”

Henry, you have laid out a clear and precise directive. May those who have ears hear… and all others as well, please hear.

Bless you, Henry for such courage and commitment; it’s spreading. And to Laura, at your side, bless you, too, the quiet strength keeping the ship afloat. We are all blessed to have you both.

  3. Excellent! Thank you Henry for a great second half of broadcast. I’ll listen to the first half of archive later.

  4. 55 sustained sucks! Stuff starts potentially breaking.

    Hope you maintain.

    It won’t be that bad here 25 – 35 sustained 55 to 60 gusts they’re talking.

Right now that SE wind stinks. Always makes it colder inside.

switch to NW is much better. Only 5 degrees tonight.

    1. I heat with electric propane and wood…..have some buddy heaters with plenty of 20 pounders in case electric goes out….have a generator too
