3 of 16 guns stolen from Worcester Army Reserve Center recovered

NEW YORK (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in New York have recovered three of the firearms recently stolen from the Army Reserve center in Worcester.

According to the NYPD a homeless man was collecting bottles in the Bronx when he discovered a bag containing the three guns.

Police analysis determined the guns matched three of the 16 that were stolen last week after a man broke into the Worcester armory.

On Thursday, police on Long Island arrested and charged James Morales for the theft. It is believed he broke in through a kitchen window then cut through the ceiling of the storage vault where the guns were kept.

  1. This story doesn’t make any sense.
A homeless guy finds a few of the missing guns? Well that’s some brilliant detective work. Any real homeless guy would have probably tried to sell them for some money.
Apparently James is such a brilliant thief that he was able to sneak into the Army Reserve center through a kitchen window, crack his way through the vault ceiling and swipe 16 guns only to just leave a few of them laying on the sidewalk someplace where anybody could find them. I guess the homeless need firearms too.
Sargent at Arms: “Say, that vault certainly looks quite vaultlike.”
Military Contractor: “Yep it sure does.”
Sargent at Arms: “So what about the ceiling?”
Military Contractor: “Ceiling? Nobody said anything to me about a ceiling.”

      1. It’s all under control #1. I’m fairly confident that these “missing guns” will turn up at the next floax shooting. Then the army can get them back.

        1. Given the (alleged) list, and given the options he SHOULD have had available, it borders on insulting one’s intelligence.
