A Tribute to Lavoy Finicum From the Trenches

We here at the Trenches offer our heart felt condolences to the family of LaVoy Finicum who was murdered on a desolate highway in Oregon, on January 26, 2016.

Funeral services for LaVoy Finicum will be held Friday, February 5 in Kanab, Utah.  He is survived by his wife Jeanette and their eleven children.  He authored the book, Only By Blood and Suffering – Regaining Lost Freedom. (Thanks Mary for bringing it to our attention.)

Wade will be attending the funeral and interviewing as many people as he can.

Wade has requested that through this post we create a collage and tribute to LaVoy Finicum wherein we here in the Trenches can convey our condolences and views of Mr. Finicum and the stand off.  So come forth with your comments.

  1. After Michael Brown had committed strong arm robbery and then was shot down by a Ferguson police enforcer, there was a demand for a grand jury investigation into the shooting, and when no indictment was returned there were riots in the streets of Ferguson, Missouri. We have seen the protests in other major cities where Americans have been gunned down by so called law enforcement.
LaVoy Finicum had harmed no one and was gunned down in a multi-jurisdictional ambush that those who perpetrated said ambush have declared a justified killing of an American national. Will LaVoy Finicum’s death be investigated by a Harney County grand jury? Or does his life not matter?

    1. My heart is and has been very heavy since his murder
His life and message better matter and dam soon
Or were in bigger trouble than I thought , than we all think
Please bring peace to him and his family
He did not and will not have died in vain

Bless you too Henry for this house to vent in

    2. Me and a good friend of mine are going to start contacting all of our worthless representatives and DEMAND a full investigation. One is not enough. Everybody needs to hold their nose and force their reps to begin a full investigation. They may not want to do it, but when the media gets wind of it, maybe we can force them to do their jobs!
I know how everyone feels about these bastards, but other than riots in the streets (which may end up happening) this is a way we can bring light to this and MANY others.

  2. “They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power.”
― Patrick Henry LaVoy refused the bindings of our oppressors….. R.I.P my dear compatriot

    1. @Mary, well said. May he rest in peace, but not allow his murderers a moment of peace. And always remember, it was the nazi’s of the BLM that started the whole affair.

  3. When the lawyers find the money angle they’ll be beating down the door of his wife’s house to bring her justice…

    1. If they can find a way to go after each and every perpetrator of this crime on a personal level
I’m all for it , true justice needs to surface on this act
      Homes , pensions,toys , savings accounts
You know …the same game they play on us back at them , in good with that too
They need to personally pay that mans family for this loss , than take the punishment for it like a man
The only true man in all of this was the one that got gunned down

      1. Yes, a list of all their names along with their faces so they can live in shame for the rest of their cowardly lives.
I’ll be going to his service on Friday. I didn’t care what day it fell on, or where it was going to be held, I made up my mind the minute I saw what those wicked SOB’s did to such a good man.

  4. Thank you for the opportunity to express my deepest, heartfelt sympathy to the family and those closest to Mr. Finicum.

I would like to say, that Mr. Finicum was far too beautiful for this world as it exists. I know in my heart of hearts that Mr. Finicum has slipped these surly bonds for a place far more deserving of him, and that he surely has earned his reward for all that he has given in this life, and sacrificed for us all.

Mr. Finicum became my hero the first time I heard him speak. I didn’t believe there would ever be another hero in my life after my father’s passing. Listening to what Mr. Finicum said, I heard my father’s message and it was then that I felt that I knew a part of Mr. Finicum as I knew myself. And when he was taken from us, it was as if though they took my own. And indeed, in some way, they did. I weep for the loss of Mr. Finicum, as I wept for the loss of my own father.

Peace be upon you for all of your days.

  5. I’m not able to attend the funeral services for LaVoy, however I will certainly pray for him and his family.

If possible, please list an address where any cards and gift offerings can be sent to his family, to help cover the cost of the funeral services and help support his family through this very troubling time.

This would also be an opportunity to pray about everyone pitching in for a purchase of an area of land, in Harney County, to build and establish a memorial for LaVoy — a long lasting and peaceful tribute to the principles he stood for of Freedom and for his family.

      1. Thanks for the address Mary. It will be a few days before I send a money order — we’re just getting dug out after getting slammed with the snow storm — so, if there is a change to where to send it (Utah funeral home?) please let me know. Thanks also for telling us about his book.

I just don’t know what to think, say or do about the murder of LaVoy. Sometimes I feel just stunned with a deep rooted sense of grief, and other times infuriated beyond any measure.

The best thing I can do right now is to at least send a card and donation to the family.

Then figure out what to do next, to honor LaVoy’s memory and not let his death be in vain.

  6. I was completely horrified the way Mr. Finicum was gunned down in cold blood. May God give him eternal rest. To the Finicum family please be strong and accept my sincere condolences.

  7. The murder of LaVoy hit me hard, not only because he obviously was a good man, but a man who took in children to give them a great life. As an adopted child myself, this does not go unnoticed as it sends the hurt deeper. May the Finicum family know, that we here at THE TRENCHES WORLD REPORT will never let this matter rest. God bless LeVoy Finicum and his awesome family.

  8. My deepest condolences to the family of LaVoy Finicum, a true American patriot gunned down in cold blooded murder. The cowards who committed this atrocity are no less vile, wicked, and evil than those who participated in the Waco, Texas massacre and the Ruby Ridge massacre. The main stream media is continuing its campaign of false information and lies, but rest assured, those of us here at the Trenches will continue to dispel the lies, bring the truth to light, and ultimately will restore this Republic so that his children can carry on his legacy of freedom!

  9. Mr. LaVoy Finicum, was a very big man. RIP

“The sun never shined on a cause of greater worth. ‘Tis not the affair of a city, a country, a province, or a kingdom, but of a continent — of at least one eighth part of the habitable globe. ‘Tis not the concern of a day, a year, or an age; posterity are virtually involved in the contest, and will be more or less affected, even to the end of time, by the proceedings now. Now is the seed time of continental union, faith and honor. The least fracture now will be like a name engraved with the point of a pin on the tender rind of a young oak; The wound will enlarge with the tree, and posterity read it in full grown characters.”
    Thomas Paine, Common Sense, 1776

  10. As any nation of past whom descends from it’s imperialist conquest, it always exercises a raised hand toward the common folks. It’s a last gasp, ugly and brutal. The ROL is abolished and the plebians suffer greatly.

Lavoy Finicum’s execution should put all of the popinjays on notice. This nation is pissed to no end and righteously so.

There is a day of reckoning coming for these addle-brained enforcers.

RIP Lavoy and you will NOT be forgotten.

  11. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
    To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
    Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

    — Robert Frost

LaVoy chose the difficult path of honor and bravery. May it continue to make all the difference, and may it bring peace and comfort for all his family.

  12. I feel no words of mine would do justice to how I feel about LaVoy’s death. They would muddy the clear reflection of his eloquent, intelligent and passioned life. The tears fall and I weep for him in his passing. May God’s peace and comfort surround all who loved and knew this great man.

  13. This incremental encroachment on our god given rights has got to STOP, the option for a peaceful return to sanity has come to a end, unless the greater part of the people stop complying, stop getting permits, stop going to their courts and make it clear that they are not in commerce or contract with the agencies that should have never been, but we all know how that will work out……. Nobody has any guts to change things. RIP SIR.

  14. “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”~Thomas Jefferson
LaVoy Finicum spilled his blood for the cause of liberty, being murdered by a tryrannical, out-of-control, military force in occupation of our country. Just as it was prior to the Revolutionary War under the British occupying forces. His death has been duly noted by true patriots across the country. My deepest condolences to all of his family. His death will not be in vain.

  15. I AGREE WITH HENRY AT THE TOP OF THE COMMENTS HERE. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, REGARDLESS OF THIS MANS BELIEFS, HIS LIFE WAS ROBBED WITHOUT DUE PROCESS OF OUR NATIONS LAW.THE PERPETRATORS NEED BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE.
im pissed. you should be as well…….

  16. As am I. To see this man gunned down infuriates me. This should concern every American. We’ve known for a long time now that innocent until proven guilty, due process, even our inalienable rights have become a thing of the past. They’ve torched our Constitution with illegal executive actions. All that said this video proves all those rights are gone. We have the evidence that shows we will be gunned down for standing up, for making waves and for voicing our opinions. You will be killed for being a patriot. When have you had enough?!!!

  17. Rest in peace Mr. Finicum. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends. God’s Blessings to this brave patriot’s family.

  18. How many times must an American National be killed by the foreign criminal corporation posing as government? How many times will the criminal agents be given quarter within our communities and within our personal boundaries? How many times will another American National not realize until it is too late, that these agents are in fact going to kill, injure, steal, or defame you in any order they please, EVERY TIME?

I do not agree with the ideals that put Mr. Finicum on that road he was killed along side, but I oppose any creature, that would limit his free travel or kill him, far more.
He had the right to his beliefs and no man, agent of the state or otherwise, was just in killing him.

  19. RIP Lavoy. Your sacrifice will not go unrewarded. We are legion. We shall prevail. There will be no escape for the traitors of this Republic.

Carry on all you American Nationals. Our day is approaching. Pick your targets.

  20. Rest in peace, Mr. Finicum, your courage and patriotism will not be forgotten. To the Finicum family, I offer my sincere condolences during this painful time for all of you. May you find comfort and peace in the days ahead.

God bless you, and may God help us all during these troubling times.

  21. I vacillate between anger and sadness over this man’s death. This is you and me and all of us. If it can happen to Mr. Finicum, for speaking truth and standing for justice, then it can happen to any one of us. I weep for our country and for our generations to come. God speed Mr. Finicum and may you find rest and peace.

  22. Mr. Finicum, the Fedcoats and other pig scum who murdered you could never dream of being the man you were. You took a stand against terrible odds for a righteous cause that YOU believed in — not for what some control freak politician or government bureaucrat believed in. Neither did you do it for a paycheck, a pension, or the false sense of power that deludes every brainless maggot who carries a badge.

Rest in peace, Mr. Finicum. I may not agree with your tactics or even your choice of where, when, and how to make a stand; but I have the utmost respect for the courage and nobility you showed. You won’t be forgotten.

  23. Rest In Peace Mr. Finicum. I hope one day your executioners are in turn executed themselves and the so called “patriots” who betrayed him are made to suck on the business end of their own rifles.

  24. May the Father look upon and bless us and bring us again into His presence.
My prayers to you and yours LaVoy
