  1. Kids these days are a gang of social and physical misfits.

They don’t play in the streets with other kids anymore. They sit there, isolated in front of a video screen for their brainwashing session, and most of them can’t ride a bike, shoot a gun, catch a fish, turn a screw, or drive a nail.

And most importantly, since they’re NOT outside playing with other kids, they’re NOT learning how to properly socialize, and it’ll be real easy for anyone in power to completely control these underdeveloped personalities.

Tell them to kill, and they’ll do it for a dime, because they’re not learning sympathy, empathy, or experiencing any of the emotional punishments or rewards that only come from human interaction. They’re a gang of freaks, because that’s how they were raised by moronic parents who only want them to be 100% safe, rather than allowing them to live.

  2. SIGH!!!! I truly miss those days……..

The old, “Can …… come out and play?” or “Let’s get a game going. Do you know anyone around who can come out and join us?”

Man, those were the days. Now you can’t even get a discussion or game going at home or during break at work nor do the kids even do anything during their recess time at school other than texting each other on their cellphones and talking to each other on them WHEN THEY ARE SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER!!! It’s ridiculous. Talk about zombies.

  3. Ah yes, those were the days! I first grew up in a city, and we would stand outside a friends house and call their name in song style, to come out and play. Sun up to sun down. A little later on we moved to the country. Sun up to sun down, we would be outside, catching tadpoles at the pond, walking along the brook, exploring the woods and ending up at a cranberry bog. Visiting the humane society and playing with the dogs and cats. Mom never knew where we were until we came home. And she always knew we were fine. Cherished memories indeed.

  4. I remember getting a neighborhood ball game up on a vacant lot next to the house where in i lived. those were the days. Kids now days have no idea what it was like back then.

  5. Oh how I miss those days too you guys! After breakfast, I was out and about with my friends. I never came home for lunch, because I was having lunch at my friend’s house. Their mom would call my mom to let her know. Then when it was time to come home for dinner, that’s when the street lights came on. So much more simple times I truly miss.

I dont think anyone under 30 can even understand this songs meaning anymore.

I broke more bones and had more stitches before I was 13 than all the kids I know(friends kids) combined these days. I was immune to poison ivy and bee stings too.

Remember when taking a bath removed more than skin cells and potato chip crumbs. Id come home and give pig pen a run for his reputation.

also, notice the lack of LOCKS on those bikes. LOL
