Bicyclist killed on Riverview Drive was SLU professor, expert on bioterrorism

St. Louis Post Dispatch

ST. LOUIS • A man killed Friday while riding his bike in the 10600 block of Riverview Drive has been identified as a St. Louis University professor and bioterrorism expert Robert Mark Buller.

Buller, 67, was a professor in the department of molecular microbiology and immunology at SLU. The university posted an obituary that said he was “one of the nation’s foremost poxvirus researchers.”

“He was a member of multiple national committees and governmental advisory groups, some that advised the intelligence community on biodefense,” SLU said in its obituary.

Buller’s lab at SLU researched gene therapy, vaccines and antiviral drugs as treatments for smallpox and a number of other lethal viruses, the obituary said.

Buller’s daughter, Meghan Buller, said that despite his accomplishments, her father was humble.

“He told me he was bad at math, but he got a Ph.D., and he had his own lab, and he advised the government …,” she said. “He was an amazingly important person and never wanted anyone else to know.”

Police said Buller was killed shortly before 6 p.m. Friday in the 10600 block of Riverview Drive. A 48-year-old man driving a Ford E-350 tried to pass Buller on the left. Buller, of the 7400 block of University Drive, then swerved left. He and the vehicle that was trying to pass him went into the northbound lanes of Riverview Drive.

An oncoming Audi A8 driven by a 56-year-old man then struck the vehicle and Buller, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the Ford E-350 stayed and cooperated; his passengers, an 8-year-old boy and a 44-year-old woman, and the driver of the Audi were taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

Buller studied ways to protect against viruses if they were ever used as weapons of bioterrorism, SLU’s obituary said. His expertise was frequently sought after the 9/11 attacks caused concern the smallpox virus could be used as a biological weapon.

He started at SLU in 1994. He was set to retire in 2018.

In addition to his work at the university, Buller volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, sponsored impoverished children in other countries, and often donated to Wounded Warriors.

He was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes parish in University City, where he lived with his wife, Jocelyn.

Meghan Buller said visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes church, 7148 Forsyth Boulevard. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at noon.

The SLU School of Medicine also plans to have a memorial service at a later date.

Buller biked to work every morning, Meghan Buller said. In addition to cycling, he also loved soccer.

“He was devoted to his family, devoted to his work and devoted very much so to God,” Meghan Buller said. “He went to church every morning.”

  1. “A 48-year-old man driving a Ford E-350 tried to pass Buller on the left. Buller, of the 7400 block of University Drive, then swerved left.”

That makes no sense, considering what came next…

“He and the vehicle that was trying to pass him went into the northbound lanes of Riverview Drive.”

Why anyone on a bike would deliberately swerve into oncoming traffic is beyond my comprehension.

  2. ‘Buller studied ways to protect against viruses if they were ever used as weapons of bioterrorism’ …………WHAT!!??? WHAT DO YOU THINK VACCINES ARE?!!!!!

    1. vaccination is trying to build immunity, protection comes in other forms such as bacterio phages, nanites, non penicillin viral and bacterial killer ( fungus based like stamets research and patent’s) then you can go back to tesla and rife with electromagnetic frequency against both virus and bacteria. Then there is Ozone dialysis EBOO

      many other forms of research

      1. “… vaccination is trying to build immunity,…”

        Bullsh#t!

The only thing it’s trying to ‘build’ is the death count.

        Depopulation agenda… 100%!

      2. please carefuly read the article

“professor in the department of molecular microbiology and immunology at SLU”

Mary then states ‘Buller studied ways to protect against viruses if they were ever used as weapons of bioterrorism’ …………WHAT!!??? WHAT DO YOU THINK VACCINES ARE?

it says immunology and micro biology categorizing it as vaccines only is a very dangerous short sighted as vaccines while rest of the world think promotes a form of immunity does not.

what i am pointing out there are many other things this person could be involved in considering how many micro biologist have been dying like this last few years to merely discount it as a vaccination doc is down right dangerous.

vaccination in certain bacterial cultures works, with limited success, it is not a cure all. It has super problems with the adjuvants and mega doses.

think what value would removing someone like him from his field? to stop him from coming out on vaccines? nah already enough out there, why a small pox specialist? remember to defeat a pathogen you need to understand the weakness and exploit it…mean you can make it stronger and have better delivery to target.

        1. Hi namlus,

Basic concept of “vaccines” is essentially correct, as all it seeks to do is to deliberately activate the bodies natural defense mechanism to produce anti-bodies.

That being said,… it is not the “vaccines” that are currently the real problem, but like all other scientific developments, the nefarious use of the technology is the real concern, and we recognize that all modern “vaccines” are nothing more than Bio-weapons of the NWO.

The “tell” here of Buller’s death seems to be the fact he specialized in the “Small Pox” virus.

The Small-pox virus is already FULLY weaponized, and has been so since the outset of WW2,.. in particular by Shiro Ishii of Unit 731, the brilliant, but wholly insane micro-organism bio-weapons expert of the Japanese, who had particularly focused on weaponizing some of the most lethal pathogens known to man,… like Small-pox,.. which he also tested on living populations of China.

There was a rash of deaths of micro-biologists a few years back,…. looks like somebody in gov’t has decided to “revisit” that issue.

JD – US Marines – Shiro Ishii – tortured, mutilated, and murdered by the tens, and hundreds of thousands,… including US Airmen,… and was given a clean start by none other than MacArthur himself so Ishii could be made the director of our own Bio-weapons program in the 40’s & 50’s.

          .

  3. Has anyone ever drove in St. Louis? I’ve been through there many times and not one was memorable, except for nearly being killed by savages disguised as motorists.
