      I think to myself……By god…i will stop it! I’ll do this, or that…and it just doesn’t stop……….
      I suppose if I put my creativity to it I could write an explanation of this wonderment, out in a literary manner, so that the young, yours and my grand children could read and make an understanding connection…and within that writing would be a thought line of mystery…not so much to disavow a reader from going on…but some question just the same……….and that part no matter how talented a writer or literary of an imigary I might provide….would remain……illusive
      I’d sure like to visit my grandparents right now and ask, wouldn’t you?
      Where are we right now? where are your grand children in the lineage of the timing?….in other words, you or i are asking this while yet still living in this life…………
      such it seems to me……..is a bit of …………..where has the time gone,……….it has been my pleasure to speak a moment on this

    thats right……….what we will bring…is invention, in the world of ideas, we will gladly provide to others on this our earth, the benefits of such, we will when our coffers allow, aid the oppressed. We will assist in the realization of each and every born person on our planet in what ever it may be, provided that assisted one, agrees to assist themselves as best they can…..we believe in the individual not in the reverse………..that gov knows………..cause you know what! No such thing exists……….there is no Gov……..there is US…all of us
    so my suggestion is contribute as best you can in this life, your talents of which each of us has……….and then do the best to tell us all………so that each of us might learn from you………

  5. My God, that was a trip into the past. I trucked from the time I got out of the Army (Feb ’70) until a few years ago. It was a different America then and I can remember those original 23 channel CB’s – they hit like wildfire and by about ’72 every truck had one. If you knew somebody back then they could convert the empty channel selector slot to the 24th channel and by ’76 when this song hit, even the State troopers started putting them in their cars. But they couldn’t get that “outlaw McCall” or “convoy” (24th) channel.

    good to hear from you….i never ever thought of myself as a trucker…although i was also…..all through the 1980’s I founded and operated Crude Oil Service Co…operating out of Sidney Mont….for the over all Williston Oil Basin…marketing crude oil I purhased off the salt water disposal wells as a biproduct of their operation………this is the first time I ever realized I was a trucker as in this song……….I had but two trucks…I drove a great deal……..besides operating the complete business…i thought of this song because it represents the real american people, those who work and deal with the day to day realities of living in america and are proud to do so…….i never had one employee quit me.honest………cause you know why? I gave a damn about them…..there was no time in the 24 hr day in which they could not address me in any manner, financial or what ever their need was…I really don’t think thats lost in our America today……..its suffering in the shadows though….
    This song was as brasen sp? then when it hit as it is today when reviewed…i am a music lover to the core………music is the most marvelous of all human language………when I die, I will sing to myself……won’t that be funny!!!
