Progressives TodayThe National Union Of Students Feminist Conference has proposed a resolution telling gay, white males to stop acting like black females. This, after previously deciding that hand clapping was offensive.
Motion 512 Reads:
1. The appropriation of Black women by white gay men is prevalent within the LGBT scene and community.
2. This may be manifested in the emulation of the mannerisms, language (particularly AAVE- African American Vernacular English) and phrases that can be attributed to Black women. White gay men may often assert that they are “strong black women” or have an “inner black woman”.
3. White gay men are the dominant demographic within the LGBT community, and they benefit from both white privilege and male privilege.
4. The appropriation of Black women by white gay men has been written about extensively. This quote is taken from Sierra Mannie’s TIME piece entitled: “Dear white gays, stop stealing Black Female culture”:Conference Resolves:
1. To work to eradicate the appropriation of black women by white gay men.
2. To work in conjunction with NUS LGBT campaign to raise awareness of the issue, to call it out as unacceptable behaviour and, where appropriate, to educate those who perpetuate this behaviour.

This is nuckin’ futs! Have these people nothing better to do than constantly be offended by something? It would be funny if it weren’t so annoying. Now the LGBT community is fighting among themselves. Maybe they’ll let us straight people alone for a while.
lets see if I got this straight, black feminists are blaming white gay males for stealing their black female culture. this is ridiculous. so anyone who gets offended sets a precedent for the government to impose more nanny laws at an ever increasing rate than they already do. plus, this just provides a distraction and is an overused conquer and divide tactic.

The black girls need to speak English intelligibly so they might someday become employed, and the gay boys should avoid pissing off the black girls, because they’ll have no trouble beating the crap out of them.
