The Smart System iP1, a .22-caliber pistol made by the German gun-maker Armatix GmbH, can only function with an accompanying wristwatch, which is sold separately.
When the RFID-equipped watch is activated by a PIN number and placed near the gun — like when a shooter grips the handle — it sends a signal to unlock the gun and a light on the back of the weapon turns green, according to the report. Otherwise, the firearm stays locked and the light on the back remains red, it stated.
The pistol sells for $1,399 and the watch retails for another $399 — more than double the cost of .40-caliber Glock handgun, according to the article.
The company is betting that demand for the technology will increase as consumers seek guns modified for safety.

However, only an idiot would use this gun because if you don’t have your RFID chip, it won’t work and you’re family will be dead. Also, this will register your gun and the government loves this because they can just shut off your RFID chip and make your gun inactive ANYTIME they want.
Unfortunately, unlike CDs and DVDs, they will have a REALLY hard time phasing out regular guns for SMART guns. Also, if they try and force it on us, it still won’t work because people can just make their own guns or even use a 3D printer and hell, most people have 2 or 3 guns as it is and the gangster would never go for this either. So their “SMART” bullshit will never take off no matter how hard they try to advertise, promote it or even force it down our throats because IT WON’T WORK!
