When IT happens, will you stay put or get out? There are a lot of things to think about when making this decision. If you haven’t figured this out, you better get busy! There will come a time that you will be faced with deciding whether or not to leave your home. That decision will most likely be made in a short period of time. You may wake up one morning and find that everything has changed and you need to do something. You will probably not be afforded the time to think about it for a day or two.
Deciding factors will be things like where do you live currently?
Are you in the country, a small town or a large city.
If you leave, where will you go?
If you stay, can you defend your home and family?
A lot of your decision will be based on what is the event that is causing you to make this decision? If it is a government takeover the decision to stay or go will be different than if the event is one where the government is no longer in control. For instance, if the government is locking everyone down under martial law and they have tanks/MRAPs and you live in a good sized town, would you be able to defend a neighborhood and fight the tyranny? How long could you hold out against armored vehicles and military raids? Could you trust your neighbors not to turn you in for having weapons and being ready to fight? If you live in the country the answer will be totally different. If the government has collapsed and is no longer controlling your movements and they cannot lock you down, you may be able to stay put and organize your neighbors to defend your territory against any group that wants to take what you have. What if the power is out? Can you survive in an urban environment without power? You may be able to survive for a week or two, maybe longer, but eventually your preps for surviving in the town or city will run out and you will have to leave. When that happens will you be able to get out or will it be too late to evacuate?
These are some things to think about. You always need a plan for these things.

Let us all pray this does not happen! However look at Germany and surrounds of what happened there….to begin WW2…It Can Happen Again….even here! especially with the USG and criminals supporting it…and the stance that whole scene has presented to us, the American Citizen…..

My opinion is that you should always try to be out of the house, because that’s where they’ll look for you, whether it’s criminals or government. Being inside a house also leaves you at a strategic disadvantage, because your motion is limited, and your location known. It doesn’t matter how much of a defense you can put up from your house; if you can be pinned down there they’ll eventually arrive with something big enough to overwhelm it.
I imagine “it” will start with some houses being surrounded, or some people being dragged from their homes, and these people probably have no better option than to take out as many of the enemy as possible, but if you do have advanced warning, you need to get out ASAP so you can help with the defense of your community (and save the poor guy who is surrounded in his house).

Agreed. There are very few situations where I can see me staying where I presently live. We did just get a good bid on draining our property in the country though. We may (unless it happens soon) be able to get out of this town into the country and be in a better place for not having to bug out under most scenarios.
this makes sense..Jolly Roger.but where do you go? Going just anywhere, isn’t the answer either! I live in I consider a small community…100to120000 people and here is my ideal thought with this size..(also the only city of any size in the county)..Know in advance of an attack via the feds, weather the local Sheriff’s office, the local Police dept..the local county commission will support the city against such an attack via the feds…If in honest they will, then all within the city are better off fighting from their own homes or close by in other homes…..
Staying put in my fixed-income apartment with a patio that faces north(?). So much for growing food on my 5’x5′ cement patio. 🙁

You can grow sprouts indoors, and there are things that you can plant, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. to grow inside in a sunny window. Tonight I will go over an article on 16 foods to regrow from kitchen scraps, it would be very beneficial to you. Any type of being more self sufficient is the goal, even if it is small steps. I don’t know where you live, but any true Trenchers are always welcome here in deep South Louisiana. We will hopefully be moving by next summer to our land in the country, and I am hoping to get a community garden going, where people from the city can come and grow their own food, but that is a way away. We currently live in the city, but we are doing everything we can to get out, it is just everything you do costs money, and that is getting harder to come by!!! Good luck and look into sprouting, it is cheap and very nutritious, and also growing a couple of veggies in front of a sunny window!!! 🙂

Ya know Missy, AmeriHerb is still blowing me off now for ovey 3 1/2 months now for no reason and they made me feel like a fool refering you guys here on the Trenches . I encourage you not to be overly concerned of your own welfare where you live…l., heart of hearts, do not think a large scale roundup of any of us will happen…and also, the NWO, is BUT, not what it is…in otherwords, its reality in power is overstated……by lots….My opinion, it has been attempting to do something for centuries and only gotten to, really , piss off the living bunch of us now living….and it will fizzle…even more…in the coming decades…..

Fantastic show Missy and Bulldog! Lots of helpful information. I’m prepared for if I should stay or if I should go. I won’t break out into “The Clash” LOL that was the first thing that popped into my mind before Bulldog said it. HAHA!
I’m hoping to stand our ground and we have excellent choke points in our neighborhood. Lots of good neighbors and family. We are prepared either way. And a bug out or bug in will definitely be a last minute scenario, it depends on which situation is at hand. Lots to think about none the less.
