In George Orwell’s 1949 book, Nineteen Eighty-Four, society is kept in a perpetual state of fear and war, even though most of the war reporting is not based on facts but is, rather, manufactured by the ruling Ingsoc Party – one can easily conclude. And that is clearly what is now happening with the latest “news” reports about the Islamic State, ISIS 2.0.

In Nineteen Eighty-Four, the public is forced to hate enemy of the state “Emmanuel Goldstein” (this name is interesting for another reason which I will discuss at the bottom of this report), a persona that, in the story, is likely fabricated by the Ingsoc Party. The political party that rules Oceania through terror and oppression.
