The point here is:
Wimpy was a weasel, a moocher and a terrible glutton.
His catch phrase was: “I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today”.
Of course, this Popeye paradigm appeared almost an hundred years ago – 1929-33 are the dates quoted for the first widespread Popeye cartoon strip, and Wimpy seems to have first stated his preference to mooch a burger in 1932.
As you can see in the MEME, reckoning time has come for the moocher…. and soon will come for all the true non-cartoon moochers who will die off in the first 6 weeks after the shutoff of their gubermint money-teat.
and it is just funny… actually, I laffed my arse off.
I just wanted to bring those who do not remember the “old days” up to speed so they understood why the burger-meisters were roughing up the moocher.
(and make relevant social commentary on the modern day moochers) 🙂
Hilarious 🙂
You can’t see him…
Butt behind wimpy the ham burglar has his hand up his…..turd burglar whole.
Oy veh…
Nice one, it’s Tuesday mthrfkr…needed that laugh this morning…:). Let’s all send a few bucks to the trenches today too…!
And I will gladly do that next Tuesday….!!!
Honestly, I don’t get it.
Must have some gap somewhere.
Remember Popeye the sailor? Wimpy was one of his crew.
