  1. As funny as this skit is, mainly because I think Madeline Kahn is a funny woman, this parody and the parallels that you are referring to, do not escape me. I’ll ty to put this as lady like as I can. America is the big whore. She has let everything and everyone come into her nation and take as much as they wanted. She has been raped, pillaged, beaten down, with no end in sight. The thing is, America may be the whore, but it’s the pimp, the politicians and the bankers and the corporations, that are allowing it to happen. The pimp makes the money off the back of the whore, who has to work more hours to make ends meat. And she’s tired. Oh so tired, while the pimp reaps the rewards.

    1. Hi Angel and Paul! Thanks! 🙂

Angel, how’s the snow forecast for you? We’ve got another 18+ inches for Saturday into Sunday. Sigh! The driveways getting smaller everyday!

      1. Snow fall expectations have been much ado about nothing in my neighborhood. Got lucky.
Suppose to have negative wind chills tonight and tomorrow.

      2. We’re good up here. Temps aren’t getting above 20. Too much snow and cold. I should have moved to the alps!! 🙂 looking forward to spring, but we have to shovel the 2 feet of snow off the roof before the weekend. A roof collapse would be a bummer. I’m thinking of making a liquor store run. If we have to be snowed in, might as well be happy! LOL

PS: I just re shoveled the front stairs. Exhausting! Not looking forward to this weekend. I want spring and I want it now! Haha

        1. ten below zero here, Deb, and it’s always snowing.

You’re probably putting more stress on the rafters by walking on the roof than letting the snow sit there.

The only time you should really have to shovel a roof is if it wasn’t built to local building codes, which account for snow loads, or if you’re in an area (down south) that just got hit with an unusual amount of snow.

another case is mobile homes, which aren’t built to local codes, and are sometimes moved to areas they weren’t designed for.

    2. Your analogy is correct for our nation as a whole, but to tell the truth, Mark Koernke was talking on the radio and saying how other people were saying that they are tired and want to get this shit over with. It was late in my day and the thought went through my head. I’m tired, tired of being f#@ked by these low life sons of bitches, and of course the Madeline Kahn piece popped in my head and so I had to share.

  2. I swear on my mother’s grave Henry, I almost posted this 2 days ago. I just about fell over backwards when I saw that you had posted it. Talk about tuned into the same wavelength!

My sentiments, exactly, but that has to be one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. The best part of that movie involved the two guys who rode the rail car into the quicksand.

    1. I say the best line in the movie was when Headly Lemar was signing up the bad guys to sack Rock Ridge and standing in line were those KKK guys when the black sheriff asks, “Hey, where are the white women at?” Classic!

      1. yeah — that was a good one. I almost wet my pants when the two black guys were left to sink in the quicksand and were saved by finding a sunken rail to work their way out of there on. When they finally get themselves back on dry land they’re told to get back to work, and one of them winds up to hit the boss in the back of the head with a shovel. I’ll never forget that scene.

    1. Mel Brooks was a genius with his “over the top” and cutting edge humor. There just isn’t anything out there today that even comes close.
