“Abraham Lincoln did not cause the death of so many people from a mere love of slaughter, but only to bring about a state of consent that could not otherwise be secured for the government he had undertaken to administer. When a government has once reduced its people to a state of consent – that is, of submission to its will – it can put them to a much better use than to kill them; for it can then plunder them, enslave them, and use them as tools for plundering and enslaving others.”
— Lysander Spooner
Touché, Lysander Spooner. Stick a fork in Spooner’s quote — it’s well done!

What’s black is white, and what’s good is bad –vice versa. When I went to school (1960-1973) our Nation’s forefathers were considered patriot heroes. Today they are defined as terrorists for resisting the ruling authority.
BTW: Lincoln was a ruthless SOB… but he got his face on the penny and the $5 dollar bill, which are also essentially worthless.

Big fan of Spooner.
“No Treason The Constitution of No Authority” is a book that has been on my read list for 8 months.
I didn’t do a net search on Spooner yet. Your book selection will probably be my first stop though. I love revisionist history.
A buddy recommended it. He said it was the equivalent to Spooner calling Lincoln a nigger(for tptb). That peaked my interest.
