A man was arrested and will be charged with making threats after writing “Netanyahu needs to die” on Facebook, Israel Police said.
Petah Tikva Police said that the 30-year-old man was arrested on Saturday, after being accused of threatening to kill Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and one of his children.
The suspect also threatened to kill the economic minister Naftali Bennett. Police said that this was not the first time that the man was arrested for making threats on Facebook.
Last year, the suspect threatened to kill Israeli President Shimon Peres. The suspect will be brought before the Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court for a bail hearing, where police will ask for a mental health evaluation.
Investigators believe that the suspect suffers from borderline personality disorder.
