A very dear Christian couple that I used to teach with in Randolph County, had a son that was involved in fighting and researching the trafficking and abuse of children. Sadly, he committed suicide. At his funeral, it was announced that folks should give to a foundation fighting the trafficking and abuse of children. If his parents hadn’t recently passed away, I would ask them more about their son’s battle.

Another person that I coached in chess as a student at Tygarts Valley H.S. committed suicide just a couple weeks after he told me that he was troubled with his job working for Halliburton building dozens of prisons in Virginia and West Virginia that were not planned for immediate use.  He told me that the blueprints showed a future, four times multiplication for future physical modification of inmate population.  He told me that the blueprint conversions more resembled a horrific concentration camp than a prison. Shackle anchors for the modification were already embedded in the concrete!
