Police Strip Search Woman in Public for Having Expired Registration

Strip searches seem to be on the rise in this country. They don’t even have to suspect that you’re hiding something “criminal” like a gun or drugs. If you have a suspended registration, or you’re a trucker driving in the left lane, that’s all some police need to perform a strip search on you in public in the middle of the day for all the other drivers to see.

Here’s Atlanta’s WSBTV:

Driver after driver told investigative reporter Jodie Fleischer officers searched inside their pants while they were stopped for minor traffic violations. In several cases, the invasive searches targeted passengers who were riding in the car. ”He was like, ‘Just unbuckle all your clothes,’ and put his hands down inside my pants,” said Terry Phillips.

Forest Park police had pulled over Phillips’ wife for a suspended registration. Phillips consented to a search. However on the officer’s dashboard camera recording Phillips can clearly be heard protesting when he realized the extent of the officer’s intentions. “That’s illegal, man, you can’t do that. You can’t do that,” said Phillips to the officer. The officer continued. Phillips filed a complaint with the Forest Park Police Department and hired an attorney.

“It’s just embarrassing. I’ve got everybody seeing me exposed,” said Alphonzo Eleby of his similar encounter with DeKalb Police.
Eleby had stopped at a gas station, parked his car at the pump, and run into the store for a money order. As he exited, he stopped to say hello to an acquaintance parked outside.
”There was just basically no reason for the search, but I still allowed them to search me because I had nothing to hide,” Eleby told Fleischer.
He said an officer walked him through the parking lot with his belt open and underwear exposed. He says the officer then reached into the front of his pants with his bare hand.  “He went inside my underwear and searched my genital area,” Eleby said, “It was just embarrassing.” That officer found nothing on Eleby, but charged him with possession of marijuana anyway; his report alleges he saw Eleby throw something to the ground.
But a convenience store video shows Eleby’s hands did not move, and the officer appears to toss something to the ground. The DeKalb County Solicitor dropped the charge against Eleby and forwarded the case to the district attorney to investigate the officer.

These people had “nothing to hide.” That’s usually the line of reasoning we hear from police or government when the issue is violations of the 4th Amendment or warrantless wiretaps and surveillance. They’ll say, “If you have nothing to hide, you should have nothing to fear.” We should all know by now that that’s a bunch of bunk.

  1. yes finally charges dropped against the last fellow and the case forwarded to the D.A., hopefully but unlikely, the district attorney will nail this evidence planting/molesting P.O.S and make an example of him. To many times they look the other way for each other in abuses that occur from the power they wield. And that crap nothing to hide so he let him search, sounds way to sheepish, this guy would probably go fetch donuts for them if they asked.

  2. There is a common theme in many of these cases: “Phillips consented to a search.” DO NOT CONSENT! Stop opening Hell’s gate for these gestapos!

  3. All I can say is that people should do what I did the last time I got arrested and searched. They started to do their thing and then they asked me if I had any comunicable diseases and I told them that I may have TB . Ya`ll should have seen how fast they backed off me and started to treat me different. Yea, all of a sudden they backed right the F off me. True story, and ya know what, they no longer wanted to lock me up either. Remember to maybe do that the next time the cops arrest ya`ll. Just make sure you say that you think. 😉 . This realy does work. They will back off real fast and the ones that did mess with ya will be getting a check up for any comunicable diseases. They are required to follow up on anything like this – just make sure you say that you think. — by the way, I am clean as a whistle I am very happy to say 🙂

Words that will lead you to certain doom. What a dumbass. I hope he learned his lesson.

Yep, and that’s what Officer Cox of the Round Rock, TX Police was trying to do to me by saying, “He smelled marijuana in my car” (Never done it in my life. I don’t even know what the hell it smells like) after following me for half a mile and pulling me over in his unmarked car for no reason. Almost like he was getting ready to plant marijuana on me. He then tried to get me out of the car to do the strip search, but I wouldn’t let him and exercised my 4th Article Right. So he arrests me for an “interfering with a public servant” bullshit charge and doesn’t even follow the 5th Article by reading me my rights. And then when the court hearing happened and they could find no reason for my arrest, the D.A. basically stated that Cox changed his story to say that I was nervous and normal people don’t act that way.

Well normal people don’t taser the shit out of the victim of an assault nor do they pull people over for no reason and charge them for marijuana when there was no marijuana just to get their quota. So after paying $100 out of MY money for a piss test and over $2000 in legal fees, they dropped the charges.

Everyone on this site knows I have my own personal hatred for the police and they will get theirs.
