Good one Millard. I like the bizarre church one cause you can see who will be first in line to meet their maker 😉 .
I myself however will go to the church bazaar every time.
I wont go to any church…Satan corrupted adam and eve…find a church without a 501c3 and I will attend, but I dont think there are any. Jesus said “go into the closet and shut the door when you pray”…now I understand His words.
I have a good friend that brought to my attention the fight among the protestants and catholics…He is catholic. I told him that I want nothing to do with your religion battles.. The only way to the Father is Jesus…not a synagogue.. Jesus also said “the well do not need a physician, the sick need a physician” IMO that is why Jesus frequented the synagogues. 🙂 just my opinion.
Steve Mays is a great pastor, Paul. He’s also one of a number of Calvary Chapel (there are a few around here, ALL non – 501(c)(3)’s) pastors on a local Christian radio station here – K WAV. The station plays recorded sermons (and some live) by them.
107.9, Paul. Bob Coy, David Rosales, Bill Welsh are just a few of the ones I like to listen to. Also, Greg Laurie of Harvest Crusade (been to a few of those at Angel stadium, as well as the first one ever held at Dodger stadium). Chuck Smith, who along with his brother Paul began the Calvary Chapels many years ago, just went home to be with the Lord a few months back. His nephew Steve is a good friend of mine who works the Crossroads retreats that I work twice a year (weekend after next, so you won’t see me posting much, if at all, for a few days -Thur. night until Sun. night). I just saw him yesterday at the last team meeting.
Most of the Calvary Chapel pastors all came out of the 60’s revival movement, long-haired hippies, doncha know. 🙂
found it. yes pastor Chuck looks like a very content saint. Bet he’s happy to be home. thanks #1

There are still some non-501(c)(3) churches around, but they are becoming increasingly rare.
This I know because I currently attend one – Calvary Chapel South Bay in Gardena, CA.
Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God, what is God’s.
Jesus was talking about taxes.
