Me too Paul. I went to the E.R. a couple of years ago during a full blown asthma attack, and all they wanted to know was: “Do you feel safe at home?” Really? I’m so glad that they were concerned for my safety and not the fact I could die right there in front of them for lack of air. What a joke!
But what we have right now stinks, too. Unaffordable premiums, copays, deductibles, “co-insurance”. I just got a quote for myself $600/month with a $6,000 deductible, then 20% co-insurance. That means I’d pay $13,200 before they kicked in a penny. Then after that, I pay 20% of everything. This was happening WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before Obamacare.
People need HEALTH CARE, not HEALTH INSURANCE. And they need HEALTH CARE when the NEED IT. Most bankruptcies are due to medical expenses, and most of that they actually HAVE “health insurance”. Health insurance is a SCAM and a RACKET. ALL insurances are.
One of the main reasons I don’t do doctors unless it is absolutely necessary.
