Can anyone point out the major substantive areas of debate and difference between Republicans and Democrats as America (or at least part of it) goes to the voting booth? Do they disagree on the Fed? Spying? Civil liberties? War? What really is at stake in this midterm election? Anything?
I can’t stand to look at Ron Paul’s face.
And I gave some precious time, about 30 minutes, to observe the so-called election-results last night. It was almost unbearable to watch because of the level of fake it has gotten to. So much seemed scripted with different channels saying very similar things.
And the winners. OMG!! The gamut of the humanity spectrum. Diversity in spades. I noticed a few winners wearing burqas. My heart stopped. I’d like to be “accepting,” but to me that is a supreme symbol of oppression and I cannot view it from a position of neutrality. Brings up rage and fear within me.
Oh my country, where art thou?
But maybe it’s better that the facade is becoming so obvious. It may be a sign that it can’t hold much longer. Yet, so many still worship at that alter.
Well, as they say, election is selection.
