The U.N. attempts to thwart marijuana decriminalization laws in Washington and Colorado

The U.N. attempts to thwart marijuana decriminalization laws in Washington and ColoradoLibertarian Party Washington State – by Alec Scheer

“A U.N. drug agency says the legalization of marijuana for recreational use in Colorado and Washington violates international drug treaties,” the Seattle Times reported on Tuesday, March 5th. “The International Narcotics Control Board urged the Barack Obama administration to challenge the legalization measures. It made its appeal in an annual drug report released Tuesday.”

The Constitution of the United States does not give the federal government the ability to control or regulate any substance. Therefore a super-governmental body, like the United Nations, does not have legislative authority over the United States. As Alexander Hamilton points out,

“A treaty cannot be made which alters the Constitution of the country, or which infringes any express exceptions to the power of the Constitution.”

James Madison supplied a similar sentiment when he said,

“I do not conceive that power is given to the President and the Senate to dismember the empire, or to alienate any great, essential right. I do not think the whole legislative authority to have this power.”

The Libertarian Party of Washington strongly opposes the United Nation’s attempt to thwart marijuana decriminalization laws passed by Washington and Colorado.

  1. F&%K the U.N.
They’re just another tool of Zionist control, and they have absolutely no authority to decide anything about what goes on in this country.

It’s going to be fun kicking them the hell out of here too.

  2. I hope one of the first missions flown by the renewed Patriot Air Corps will be to return that patch of ground in NY to it’s pre-columbian condition! Level everything associated with the UN.

  3. I say F decriminalization. Legalize it completly! Until then there will always be those sleazy sneaky loopholes that would involve decriminalizing Herb. Anything less than total legalization will not be acceptable.

  4. Colorado has been a target of these commies for about 8 years. what used to be a considered a conservative state has been flooded with Soros money and I’m afraid they have gained control of the politics here. Using the saul alinski book, they lie, cheat, jerrymandered districts and got into power! It doesn’t matter if the voters say no to schools, hiring fulltime firemen in a town that doesn’t need them or gov. workers we can’t afford, there is always some kind of grant money and they will do it any way.. What constitution? But on the bright side, we definitely have a target rich environment! If you want to know who they are in your little town just do a search using key words, social entrepeneur, change agent, community organizer, community broker, etc. in your area, town, county.. be persistent and you can find them. I found 5 people of interest that I had never heard of in my little village! commie bastards every one..

  5. The treaty is in violation of the U.S. Constitutions’s Ninth Article of Amendment, and therefore is both illegal and null on its face.

The only way to amend the U.S. Constitution is via the specified process stated in Article V of the Constitution, and treaties aren’t listed as one of those ways.

  6. A bit of trivia for you all.

The U.N. was built on land donated by the Rockefellers.

It was a slaughterhouse before that.

    Surprised, anyone?
