A small group of Houston gun owners decided to celebrate their freedom on Independence Day this year in the best way possible.
They all had a great time.

The group? Come and Take it Houston – a group of gun owners that gather publicly to “educate Texans on their right to openly carry shotguns and rifles in a safe manner.”
Even in front of a police station.

“It’s Independence Day – where it all started,” said shotgun toting Jenn Kroll, to the Houston Chronicle. “What better day to show our rights?”
Can’t argue with that.

After their march, the group went to lunch at Tony’s Barbecue – a restaurant that allows people to carry guns into the establishment.

And it looks like they made an impact. . .
“To walk the streets and see people with shotguns and ammo is a bit different,” a man visiting from England remarked to the Houston Chronicle. “It’s a completely different culture.”
To which one gun owner in the group replied:
Happy Independence Day.
