Yes Paul, what I found interesting is that Billy Joel was given a history assignment while in school to summarize the last 50 years of history and he used this paper to help him write the lyrics to the song.
That’s interesting. back then i was to emerged in my self to even realize what that song spoke of.
My brother and I took a walk down memory lane last night and we stumbled upon the video. I also noticed the same thing when listening to “Sweet Cherry Wine” by Tommy James and the Shondells and I realized I never really listened to the words or the message Tommy James was trying to get out there back at that time. Hint, hint Henry.
Yes i remember that song too. I was hustling my present darling wife in that era. we are now one, and awake.
