Two “new” Army mobile airborne X-band RADAR blimps are being deployed over Washington DC.
Phased Array RADAR on board, operating anywhere between 50-100GHz , targeted anywhere that the array is pointing from the sky to the ground below.

In the Raytheon promotional video for the JLENS RADAR system, they show the REAL uses for the system are for tracking Planes, boats, cars, and other objects the size of a car (down to even groups of people).

The media talking about “detecting cruise missiles” as the reason for deployment in the Northeast US. Is there a cruise missile threat in the Northeast USA? From who? Russia? China? UK? France? Who exactly has these cruise missiles which we need to be on guard for?
Real guess as to WHY they need two mobile airborne X-band RADARs over the area, is for tracking the population in case of civil unrest. Not for “protecting” the East coast from some amorphous non-existent incoming cruise missile threat.
The promo from Raytheon touts the TRACKING OF CARS AT A NASCAR RACE.
Military documents talk of GROUND TRACKING of moving objects as one of the other main uses for these devices.

This means they can track all cars using military airborne RADAR over a domestic area. Plain and simple, these blimps are for tracking the population, not really for “cruise missiles”.. although the system can indeed detect a cruise missile, as well as every other moving object below of any size above a human being.
This RADAR is pointing DOWN towards the ground, thus there won’t be any “hiding” behind objects in the way. Like a floating satellite, only much closer to the ground, and capable of being moved at a moments notice.
So, at what altitude are these blimps cruising, or are they just anchored in place? Are they within range of high powered rifles i.e. .50 BMG, or home made rockets? Look like large floating targets to me ..hypothetically speaking, of course.
Resolution is great to good only down 1/2X-1X the wavelength emitted.
A microwave oven (and early radars) work at ~2.4 GHz which has a wavelength of ~5 inches. That’s why you can look through the tiny holes. The waves can’t get through.
So at 100 GHz the wavelength is 40X less, so ~ 1/8 of an inch.
What I’m saying is, this isn’t just for tracking big thing like cars and people in general.
It’s for looking at things like facial recognition, gait, and detailed hand motion, etc.
Higher frequencies (terahertz) allow them to see inside vehicles and buildings to some extent.
Plus all humans emit terahertz waves so that’s great for individual tracking if your into police state tyranny.
The blimps have clearly been deployed to protect the Washington, D.C. false-gov corporation from we-the-people, who would be approaching on the ground. After all, why would their satellites and radar systems suddenly not be sufficient to detect missiles? While watching the video, I found myself expecting the uniformed goon to say the blimps were for detecting “constitutionalists”!
