More than 50 celebrities, politicians, and media organizations could face a lawsuit from the teen at the center of the Covington Catholic High School controversy.
Lawyers representing Nick Sandmann, the teen in a Make America Great Again hat seen smirking at Native American activist Nathan Phillips in the video, sent preservation letters out on Friday.
The letters are seen as the first step in possible libel and defamation lawsuits.
Among those who received the letter were Alyssa Milano, Jim Carrey, Sen Elizabeth Warren, Kathy Griffin, Savannah Guthrie, Bill Maher, and Rep Ilhan Omar.
National media outlets including the New York Times, CNN, and TMZ also received the letters, as did the dioceses of Covington and Lexington and the archdioceses of Louisville and Baltimore.

I dispute the Daily Mail’s contention that he was smirking! I believe that he was simply attempting to stay calm while being harassed!

Just a couple of questions here: one, would Milano et. al. have pulled that BS if Sandmann wasn’t Catholic, aka Christian? Two, would the bastards that run the so-called Diocese–putting a bogus native american ahead of a Christian kid out of sheer guilt of Catholic Church hierarchy historic oppression of Native Americans–have done that dirty deed if that Phillips phony was NOT native american? Three, would any of this nonsense happened if Sandmann was NOT Christian? Four, will any of these rich sickos–celebrity or not–be forced to pay even one thin dime to Sandmann and the rest? Because I have my doubts…since these rich sickos are rich, and since the Diocese is run by evil church hierarchy overlords. Ephesians 6:12 and all that.
