The Federalist Papers – by Calvin Freiburger
Another illustrious media career crashes and burns.
The Wall Street Journal reports that senior Fox Sports executive Jamie Horowitz has been canned over allegations of sexual harassment.
“Everyone at FOX Sports, no matter what role we play, or what business, function or show we contribute to—should act with respect and adhere to professional conduct at all times. These values are nonnegotiable,” Fox Sports President Eric Shanks wrote in a staff memo announcing Horowitz’s removal as Fox Sports National Networks president.
According to WSJ’s source, the move is a direct result of Fox Sports enlisting a law firm to look into suspicions of sexual harassment within the company, though nobody has officially confirmed that’s the reason for Horowitz’s departure.
Patricia Glaser, Horowitz’s attorney, isn’t taking her client’s firing lying down, calling it “appalling” and maintaining the allegations are “slanderous.” One of Fox Sports’ own lawyers has responded by simply saying, “Mr. Horowitz’s termination was fully warranted and his lawyer’s accusations are ill-informed and misguided.”
As to the substance of the allegations, the Los Angeles Times reports that “Several women, including prominent on-air personalities, have already been interviewed about their treatment at Fox Sports, according to two people familiar with the investigation.” Sports Illustrated did manage to track down one specific allegation:
One woman who has worked in production at Fox Sports told Sports Illustrated on Monday that she spoke last week with HR officials for Fox Sports for more than an hour. She recounted a story of Horowitz attempting to kiss her at an offsite location last year. “I have been working in sports for a long time, and no one has ever been that bold with me,” said the woman, who asked that her name not be used. “I saw him at Fox one day, and he said he wanted to catch up. He said we could meet up to talk. The hook was that he could get me more work. Fox HR called me last week. They asked about what had happened. I gave some details and then called back and gave more details. To Fox’s credit they handed it quickly and really pro-active. They went out of their way to contact me.”
Sports Illustrated also details how the stage has been set for a messy legal battle over the terms of Horowitz’s contract.
F Fox,
Every time I turn around it’s something else with these assholes. What’s even worse is that Trump supports these perverts.
‘To Fox’s credit they handed it quickly and really pro-active. They went out of their way to contact me.”’ ……..of course they don’t want to risk further exposures
Say it ain’t so, a joo imposing himself on others in a manner that appears they should feel fortunate he’s chosen them for his pleasuring.
Glad to see he’s got a kike lawyer…
