TACOMA, Wash. — Mel Gibson’s new film “Hacksaw Ridge” tells the story of a World War II soldier, Desmond Doss, who received the Medal of Honor for single-handedly rescuing 75 wounded soldiers.

On an escarpment known as “Hacksaw Ridge” on Okinawa, Doss refused to find cover, plunged into the line of fire to find his injured comrades, and one by one lowered them down a cliff with rope to friendly hands. He may have even helped a few wounded Japanese soldiers, reported The Daily News.   Continue reading “Son reflects on dad’s story depicted in ‘Hacksaw Ridge’”

Though the night would soon be marked by tear gas and water cannons shooting through barbed wire and concrete barriers, at the beginning of the gathering held on Sunday evening under the floodlights of the Dakota Access Pipeline construction site, the air was permeated by the sound of prayer and the unmistakeable scent of the sage smoke billowing above the road.

An earthquake hit northern Japan on Tuesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said, issuing tsunami advisories for much of the nation’s northern Pacific coast.

The epicenter of the earthquake, which was felt in Tokyo, was off the coast of Fukushima prefecture at a depth of about 10 km, the agency said.

The U.S. Geological Survey had a preliminary magnitude of 7.3, but then downgraded it to 6.9.   Continue reading “Magnitude 6.9 earthquake strikes off Japanese coast, USGS says”

WASHINGTON  — It all starts with the wall.

Donald Trump’s vow to build a wall along the border with Mexico, to make Mexico pay for it and to achieve iron-fisted control over illegal immigration stands as his leading promise, one that rang from the rafters countless times. Most of the major Zionist spooks posing as journalists have been outed in the alternative and mainstream media in the last ten years. Over the weekend images surfaced online of a Hezbollah parade in Qusair, Syria, featuring U.S. armored personnel carriers affixed with antiaircraft guns. The images prompted a flurry of speculation about the vehicles’ origin and whether the group had pilfered the stocks of the U.S.-supplied Lebanese military.

The armored personnel carrier, known as the M113, is one of the United States’ most ubiquitous armored vehicles and has been in service since the 1960s. The tracked semi-rhombus-shape vehicle comes in numerous variants and can be outfitted to carry troops and artillery; its chassis was even used as the basis for a nuclear-missile carrier. It has appeared in every major U.S. conflict since the Vietnam War and is used by U.S. police departments and dozens of others countries’ militaries around the world.   Continue reading “Hezbollah has U.S. armored personnel carriers. If you are a green card holder applying for U.S. citizenship through the process known as naturalization, one important question will be whether you have ever been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of a crime. Although not every crime creates an outright bar to receiving U.S. citizenship, some do, while others will raise serious questions about whether you have the necessary good moral character.   Continue reading “Crimes That Will Prevent You From Receiving U.S. Citizenship”
