Aha…. much better than the news (and possibly more important)
This is the second movement of Beethoven’s “Emperor” concerto, and it has an interesting political history.
Beethoven’s third symphony, known as “Eroica” (the Heroic), is arguably the greatest piece of music ever written (and my personal favorite), which Beethoven wrote in glorious praise of Napoleon’s forces.
The Emperor concerto was written after Beethoven changed his mind about Napoleon, and saw him as a tyrant rather than a liberator. You can hear is hatred of Napoleon more obviously displayed in the first movement.

Mine is The William Tell Overture by Rossini…and not just the Lone Ranger part of it, either! Also a huge Tchaikovsky fan….
Nothing against rock, country, bluegrass, reggae, yada yada yada…but this stuff is REAL music (since it is NOT atonal!) Thanks for posting!
Beautiful. Love classical music!
