While there have been many protests across the nation over the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, most have petered out by now. Only the demonstrations in Berkeley are still ongoing, although they too are finally coming to an end. As I wrote about yesterday, both sides of the conflict have engaged in shortsighted and destructive tactics to achieve their goals. Neither the cops, the protesters, nor the looters, should win a medal for the actions they have taken over the past few days.
But it should be noted that the actions taken by the protesters and looters, did not emerge from a vacuum. While I believe the way they vented their anger was completely unethical and non-constructive, we should not forget where this anger came from. There probably wouldn’t have been any looting or vandalism, had the police not reacted the way they did last Saturday.
Fortunately, there were plenty of witnesses to the despicable acts of brutality by the Berkeley Police Police Department. Brace yourself, because this footage is almost too terrible to watch.

The American citizen needs be more organised and bring groups in behind the police lines. Get them surounded. Force them to make a forced retreat manuver down a side street. Or hold them till they strip to there shorts then allow them to wander of on there own.
Thats what your tax dollars go to you slaves. Keep paying into the system that is trying to kill you.
I can not believe not one civilian started shooting(at the cops) after they beat woman and struck others with no provocation. fruits and nuts I guess.

Shooting the cops would have been far more constructive.
I was thinking rip the helmets off and hit them in their heads with them.
I dont see a man in the bunch. How can you let them beat on woman? Right in front of them. Crazy. Not where I grew up. Not where I stand.
I grew up in the 50s & 60s, NTB.
Men went to jail/prison for beating up women in those days.

Its one thing(just kidding here) to hit a woman you own… but for another man to hit your woman in public???
That’s a damn death sentence.
Back in the 50s he would have been mobbed and beaten by every male in sight.
