California Pharma Firm to Offer Royalty-Free Licenses for Ebola Research

Breitbart – by Joel B. Pollak

LOS ANGELES — A local pharmaceutical research company, MMRGlobal, plans to offer its antibody technology to universities conducting research on the Ebola virus without charging them royalties for licensing fees.

“In light of the humanitarian crisis from Ebola and other diseases, MMR plans on granting these licenses for research into the development of these and other biotech assets to create treatments for Ebola and other diseases,” said MMR CEO Robert K. Lorsch, in a statement to be released later Tuesday morning.

MMR holds a variety of patents throughout the world “for the development and use of therapeutics through production of specific monoclonal antibodies,” the company says, which the body uses to fight disease. The company owns proprietary technology for “Human Framework Reassembly (HuFR)” components that, MMR says, reduce some side effects that are typically produced when the body encounters foreign substances.

The 2014 Ebola outbreak has already claimed hundreds of lives in West Africa, and has begun to create anxiety in the U.S. as well, given extensive travel networks and the deadly and highly contagious nature of the disease.

The company hopes that by granting royalty-free licenses to its technology, it can help fight Ebola’s advance.

Humanitarian crisis? Is that what the Communists are calling everything now? A “humanitarian crisis”? Is that the new Communist word change of the week? How about calling it for what it is, an outbreak or a plague?

I’m waiting for them to say it’s a “humanitarian crisis” when an illegal immigrant is shot and injured by an American who was defending himself and then when the American is shot and injured by an illegal immigrant, it’s called “miscommunication” and a “misunderstanding” on the part of the illegal.

  2. “The company hopes that by granting royalty-free licenses to its technology, it can help fight Ebola’s advance.”

Oh wow, they are granting licenses right after an Ebola outbreak happened. And if you believe this whole outbreak wasn’t planned in advance just for this and other policies to be implemented, then I have a 100 golden toilets to sell you.

    1. Sitting at Starbucks down the street from my mechanic’s shop, listening to Henry. Went to roll my passenger window down after picking up lunch, and it took a dump on me. Couldn’t leave it stuck halfway down overnight, not in this neck of the woods.

At least it got me out of emptying the container at work for a few hours.

  3. This is about as wild a goose chase as looking for a cure for cancer (which doesn’t exist either, according to the so-called ‘medical’ establishment).
