WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressmen Stephen F. Lynch and Walter B. Jones and former Senator Bob Graham were joined by families of 9/11 victims as they announced the introduction of a new House Resolution which calls on President Obama to declassify 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001. Although the final report amounts to over 800 pages, the 28 pages were classified by former President George W. Bush shortly after the report was released.
The Representatives introduced a similar resolution in 2013 and received bipartisan support. Now Jones, Lynch, and Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie have introduced House Resolution 14 which states that “declassification of the pages is necessary to provide the American public with the full truth surrounding the tragic events of September 11, 2001, particularly relating to the involvement of foreign governments.”
Jones said he chose to introduce the resolution “because the families deserve peace, the American people deserve the truth, and the release of these pages will not harm our national security.” He encouraged the Senate to introduce a companion resolution. Congressman Lynch said “enough time has passed that we can digest the information they contain without worrying about the visceral passions and security implications that existed in the days immediately following September 11th, 2001.”
Upon seeing the 28 pages Rep. Jones said the 28 pages would embarrass the Obama administration. Rep. Massie said while reading the documents he “had to stop every couple of pages and absorb and try to rearrange my understanding of history for the past 13 years and the years leading up to that. It challenges you to rethink everything.”
Former Senator Bob Graham spoke of the “denial of truth” coming from government officials. Graham asked, “Did these 19 hijackers act alone or did they have support?”. He said the 28-pages “point a strong finger at Saudi Arabia as being the principal financier” of the attacks. When asked if he was speaking about the Saudi government or independent elements, he stated that he was referring to the Saudi Kingdom.
Graham called the refusal of the Bush or Obama Administrations to release the documents a “pervasive pattern of covering up the role of Saudi Arabia in 9/11 by all of the agencies of the federal government which have access to information that might illuminate Saudi Arabia’s role in 9/11.”
Terry Strada, co-chair of 9/11 Families United for Justice Against Terrorism and widow of Tom Strada, said “Private citizens and Congress must take action against those who are responsible for aiding and abetting the 19 hijackers that murdered nearly 3,000 innocent people on American soil no matter who they may be, no matter what government they are, no matter what country they come from.”
Strada emphasized the families call for three things: Accountability, Justice, and the truth. She also called for support from Congress for the passing of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA), which would hold countries who fund terrorism accountable and give power to Congress to prosecute countries who fund terrorism.
Also in attendance were Sylvia Carver, sister of Sharon Ann Carver (Pentagon victim); and Abraham Scott, widower of Janice Scott (Pentagon victim).
Carver personally requested President Obama release the 28-pages, stating that “The families have a right to know the full story, we have a right to justice, and to closure.” Abraham Scott, retired Army Officer, said “I stand before you in full support of the initiative of declassifying the 28 pages as well as passing JASTA.”
Support for the resolution and declassification of the pages has gained in popularity in recent months and years. Last summer, 9/11 Commission Chairman Thomas Kean and Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton also came out in support of declassification. “I’m embarrassed that they’re not declassified,” Hamilton said to the New York Post.
BenSwann.com reported that “former Secretary of State and potential U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, ISIS has received funding from the Saudis.
Eight years after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Clinton, wrote in a cable leaked by WikiLeaks that “Saudi Arabia remains a critical financial support base for al-Qaeda, the Taliban, LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan) and other terrorist groups.”

You’re absolutely right, FF. They are going to roll out the old shibbolith blaming Saudi Arabia. They tried this before and it didn’t fly. For one thing it makes no sense for the Saudis to do this since they are quite capable of hurting the US financially without resorting to something as melodramatic as the Twin Towers.

“Congress Is Finally Pushing For 9/11 Truth” …. that’s amazing. After 13 years of lying about it, now they’re pushing for truth.
If you’re dumb enough to believe it, I have some swampland for sale. They’re going to waste a year prying 28 pages of nonsense out of them, and then sweep that under the rug too.
Congress will be pushing up daisies long before anyone is willing to tell the truth about 9-11, and these morons who are looking toward our government for justice on that issue are dumber than a bag of hammers.
The American public can’t handle the truth. Truth be told, society would collapse into a heaving ball of raw blood and guts and, in the aftermath, the light of “truth” beginning to peak through the storm clouds. We would not survive ultimate truth.

Hey J.D., I agree. You and I and other prepared trenchers will survive but insofar as Bullshit Incorporated goes, the floor drops out from under most. You want to see anarchy, just shut off their cell phones for a day and you would have riots. Quite frankly, I hope the collapse comes sooner rather than later. Then it will be easier to deal with these sons of bitches without law enforcement biting at your heels while you attempt to slay the devil himself. We all have our demons to deal with and when I confront mine, I certainly don’t want any witnesses. Maybe that’s what is meant when they talk “rebirth”.
