Thought Crime comes to America.
There are two bi-partisan resolutions in Congress, House Resolution 257 and Senate Resolution 118, which mean to trigger a law enforcement “investigation” if you are deemed to “hate” Muslims or Jews or blacks.
HR 257 is called “Condemning hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States”.
HR 257’s companion in the U.S. Senate is Senate Resolution 118, which was introduced by Democrat Kamala Harris (CA) on April 5, 2017, when it was unanimously approved by the Senate. SR 118’s four co-sponsors are:
- 2 Republicans: Marco Rubio (FL), Susan Collins (ME)
- 2 Democrats: Dianne Feinstein (CA), Tammy Duckworth (IL)
HR 257 is sponsored by Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock (VA), who introduced the resolution in the House on April 6, 2017. On April 21, HR 257 was referred to the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations.
HR 257 has 12 co-sponsors:
- 2 Republicans: Scott Taylor (VA), Carlos Curbelo (FL).

Below is the text of House Resolution 257 in its entirety. I supplied the bold red and pink emphasis.
RESOLUTIONCondemning hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States.
Whereas, in the past several years, violent crimes, threats of violence, and other incidents of hate-motivated targeting of religious, racial, and ethnic minorities have increased across the United States;
Whereas, in 2015, hate crimes targeting Muslims in the United States increased by 67 percent, reaching a level of violence targeting Muslim Americans that the United States had not experienced since the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation;
Whereas, in 2015, anti-Semitic incidents increased in the United States for the second straight year, according to the Anti-Defamation League’s 2015 Audit of Anti-Semitic Incidents, which describes trends such as the tripling of assaults targeting Jews since 2012 and the rise of online harassment and hate speech directed at Jewish journalists and individuals through social media;
Whereas, in 2015, anti-Semitic incidents at institutions of higher education nearly doubled compared to the number of those incidents in 2014, and during the 2016–2017 school year there has been an increase in White supremacist activity on college campuses across the United States, according to the Anti-Defamation League;
Whereas, in 2015, among single-bias hate crime incidents in the United States, 59.2 percent of victims were targeted due to racial, ethnic, or ancestry bias, and among those victims, 52.2 percent were victims of crimes motivated by their offenders’ anti-Black or anti-African-American bias, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation;
Whereas, in 2017, there have been more than 100 reported bomb threats against Jewish community centers, Jewish day schools, and other Jewish organizations and institutions in more than 38 States;
Whereas, in 2017, Islamic centers and mosques have been burned in the States of Texas, Washington, and Florida, and Jewish cemeteries have been desecrated in the States of Missouri and Pennsylvania;
Whereas, in 2017, there has been harassment and hate-based violence against individuals who are perceived to be Muslim, including members of South Asian communities in the United States, and Hindu and Sikh Americans have been the target of hate-based violence targeting religious minorities; and
Whereas, on February 28, 2017, President Donald Trump, before a joint session of Congress, acknowledged threats targeting Jewish community centers and the vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, and stated that “we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all of its very ugly forms”: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, that the House of Representatives—
(1) affirms that the United States stands united in condemning hate and evil in all forms;
(2) rejects hate-motivated crime as an attack on the fabric of the society of the United States and the ideals of pluralism and respect;
(3) condemns hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States;
(4) calls on Federal law enforcement officials, working with State and local officials—
(A) to expeditiously investigate all credible reports of hate crimes and incidents and threats against minorities in the United States; and
(B) to hold the perpetrators of those crimes, incidents, or threats accountable and bring the perpetrators to justice;
(5) encourages the Department of Justice and other Federal agencies—
(A) to work to improve the reporting of hate crimes; and
(B) to emphasize the importance of the agencies’ collection and reporting of data pursuant to Federal law;
(6) encourages the development of an interagency task force led by the Attorney General and bringing together the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Education, the Department of State, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to collaborate on the development of effective strategies and efforts to detect and deter hate crime in order to protect minority communities; and
(7) calls on the executive branch—
(A) to offer Federal assistance that may be available for victims of hate crimes; and
(B) to enhance security measures and improve preparedness for religious institutions, places of worship, and other institutions that have been targeted because of the affiliation of the institutions with any particular religious, racial, or ethnic minority in the United States.
Note that:
(1) Although HR 257 (and SR 118, which is already unanimously approved by the Senate) says “Condemning hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States,” only Muslims and Jews are mentioned as “religious” targets, and blacks or African-Americans as the “racial” targets. No mention of Christians or whites as being even potential targets of religious or racial “bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus”.
(2) The vagueness and ambiguity of important words, such as “hate crime”, “incitement to violence”, “bias”, “threats”, and especially “animus”. The Cambridge English Dictionary defines “animus” as “a feeling of hate or anger towards someone or something”. A feeling is an in-dwelling emotion, in contrast to “hate crime” and “incitement to violence”, which are outward behaviors of speech and/or action. That means HR 257 and SR 118 seek to make feelings (of hate or anger toward Muslims, Jews, or blacks) into thought crimes.
Then there is the important matter of how “animus” — having a feeling of hate or anger — is detected and determined. Is simply criticizing Muslims, Jews, or blacks “animus”?
Contact your reps in the House of Representatives and tell them you oppose HR 257, which, under no circumstances should be approved!

Right Frank. I think they are smarter than to expect Americans to shoot Americans on a grand scale. That’s debatable seeing what the cops are up to. It’ll take allot more than the cops to get the job done. I was taken aback by a gun store owner once, when he said out of the blue that he plan of action prepared when he sees a blue helmet.

Unfortunately, the US military has been used against the people of this country on several occasions in our history, from the Whiskey Rebellion to gun confiscation after Hurricane Katrina. Out of all those incidents, I’m not aware of a single time when significant numbers of “our troops” failed to follow orders to either threaten or attack Americans. “Blue helmets” will not be needed.
Speaking of helmets, the newest model in the military (the Enhanced Combat Helmet, or ECH) can stop most rifle rounds. (5.56 M855 “green tip” is probably an exception. So are genuine AP rounds in .308, .30-06, etc. I suspect a heavy Brenneke slug would dent it in enough to be lethal, too.). A rifle-resistant helmet was not possible even ten years ago.
That’s one example of a larger point: infantry technology, developed to fight “insurgents” overseas, will inevitably be used to fight “insurgents” here at home if there is an uprising, mass gun confiscation, etc.
Take surveillance technology as a further example: that which was originally developed for overseas use has now been used by domestic law enforcement for years.
I saw these developments coming even before the Iraq invasion and tried to warn people about it on right-leaning discussion boards. The rabble shouted me down as a “traitor,” “liberal,” “terrorist sympathizer,” and all sorts of other retarded crap. I wish I’d been wrong, but time has proven me correct, and well beyond what even I’d suspected at the time.
“Technology transfer” from the military to the pigs is how the military has been destroying our freedom up to this point. That’s bad enough, but in the future, the military may again play a more direct role in destroying freedom, as with the Whiskey Rebellion and other aforementioned examples.
The military is not invincible yet — it can’t even defeat the Taliban — but it is only getting stronger with time. Civilian weapons and capabilities are not keeping pace with those being developed for infantry forces, and that disturbs me greatly. We need more creative, technically-minded people to start working HARD on new ideas and new countermeasures (like homemade AP rifle ammo).

It’s not the Bible that bothers me, but rather the interpretations. I too have read the Book and a lot of other books, in fact I took the time to study religion back to its sources. The line of Jacob back to Adam and the notion of a pure race and the begots. It is just too incredible to believe considering the span of time involved because I know that all these people were human and the human equation missing from the formula is ‘momma’s baby, papa’s maybe’. And the Priests of San Hedron and their declared direct channel to God plays into today’s notion of spiritual elitism.
If there is a special chosen people today like there was claimed to be back then, then everyone else is of a lesser lower class and this class system, well evidently exists into eternity. If there is a chosen people of a god that isn’t me, then I reckon that isn’t my god, it is theirs and they are welcome to him. And if they try to assert that elitism through their notion of their god on me in this life, it will be my pleasure to send them to their elitist eternity at the first opportunity.
I don’t think I’m any better than anybody else and in the end equation, nobody is better than me.

That is why I reject it. If one wants to take their own conclusions and live their lives accordingly without it violating my rights, I would die for their right to do so.
